Amazing Cakes and More

I had the privilege of enjoying one of these cakes at a wedding that I attended in October 2010. The presentation was incredible. It was a 4 story (I guess you call them stories) cake with a cartoon bride and groom on top. It had vines crawling up the sides that had been applied with great precision. I was very impressed with what I saw, a big change from the stereotypical wedding cake which to me looks boring with frills and different shades of white. After the wedding I found the facebook page for the person who makes the cakes and discovered that what I had seen what nothing compared to what she’s capable of. There were much bigger and much more extravagant cakes that all seemed to be customized.
Ok, enough about the appearance. How about the taste. I’m a pretty picky cake person. I’ll eat almost anything but rarely am I saying yes more, more. For this I was. At the wedding the cake was served while everyone was walking around taking pictures. While pictures were being taken I was wandering around looking for unwanted or unclaimed cake. It had a perfect blend of flavors. I can’t remember all of the flavors but I know it had strawberry and chocolate in it.
Ever since I laid eyes on that cake I’ve been searching for a reason to have one of these cakes made for me or somebody I know. This talent must be seen by the world!
