Chifferobe

Chifferobe is joy personified. A place to dance. A place where The Minsky Sisters, Tropigals, and other performers practice. A place to celebrate all that is vintage and vintage culture. A place to create.
I was first introduced to Chifferobe years ago, before it had it’s own space, and curated events all over Rhode Island. I was always drawn to the magic of the events, the costumes, and the nerdiness of vintage-​themed events. More recently I signed up for a 6-​week Can-​Can workshop at the studio and have had the time of my life. Small class size, enthusiastic instruction, diverse group of participants, and total fun and body positivity. Squealing — there is even squealing — it’s part of the dance!
Chifferobe also hosts events like LoveCraft, vintage wedding apparel and accessories, and is launching their first ever camp for kids this summer.
