Friendly’s

I just sat with my two kids and waited ten minutes and no one even came over to take our drink order. We walked out. I told the manager as we were leaving and she said someone was «on their way over.» With two small children, and to not even be acknowledged for ten minutes? Horrible customer service. We won’t be back.

This place smells so bad ! My son wanted a chocolate ice cream Sundae and what do you know they were out of Chocolate ice cream lol HOW? kinda glad they were to be honest. Not only does the place need a major cleaning, they should really hire some FRIENDLY people ! Lady taking orders was a miserable b*tch.

All time favorite since I was a kid! We came in for dessert and went with sundaes. The brownie Sunday was amazing. :)

A typical Friendly’s experience: decent food, that you will sit waiting and waiting for it to arrive.
Walk in– wait about 5 minutes before anyone realizes that you are there and seats you.
After sitting down, wait another 5 – 10 minutes before your server even says that they will be with you shortly. Eventually they will come over and take your order. But then you’ll wait and wait and wait for it to arrive– even after you see it waiting in the window, it will be at least another 10 minutes before your food is at your table.
Really, ice cream is the reason to come here. But only if you’re not in a hurry and have time to sit and wait. And wait. And wait.

My 8yr old daughter loves this place. I also like Friendlys but the service is always very slow. Every Friendlys seems to be slow in service. I always get the honey barbecue chicken melt. It’s my favorite.

The service is nonexistence. The food was downright awful. I was willing to give Friendly’s a chance after hearing the CEO on NPR. What a mistake that was. The menu has changed but the quality of food and the service hasn’t changed at all. It’s still no good.

I’ll admit the main reason that I stop at Friendly’s is to use the bathrooms because the crappers in Friendly’s tend to be cleaner than the ones in donuts shops or the horrors you can find in gas station restrooms. This particular stop was no exception.
Unfortunately since I have the will power of a rutabaga when it comes to ice cream, I usually get talked into getting scream while I’m there. Again, this particular stop was no exception.
Friendly’s or Friendly, whatever they call them, I have been to many and they are pretty consistent except for the name. The chocolate almond sundae and the banana split were just what we expected, which means very good. However, the store itself was extremely clean and even the decorations and pictures on the walls were actually interesting to look at and not just generic crap like in most restaurants.
I’m not sure if it was just remodeled or if the staff was just exceptionally attentive but the tables and floor were spotless and the waitress was exceptionally perky and funny. Entertained us with a story about a drunk who passed out in his bowl of soup and almost drown.
You can call it Friendly or Friendly’s, this one is a particularly pleasant place to stop for ice cream, to use a spotless bathroom or to hear some interesting stories.
