Great food at a great price! Breakfast all day. Convenient hours. Parking around back, no credit cards but ATM machine on site and Citizens bank right there.

Not sure why this place is so well reviewed. It’s a typical mediocre diner. I’ve been for breakfast and the food just isn’t that great. Typical diner seating and décor. With all the other great breakfast places within a ten mile radius, I have not been back here even though it’s just a block from my house.

Kip’s! Hellz yeah… First time here, I expected it to be a cramped, seriously outdated little breakfast place that served ‘blow you right of the water, greezy spoon breffix’.(Yes, I wrote it as «breffix»). I was expecting gawdy chrome and naugahide 1950s’ style stools built in to the floor at a long, aluminum trimmed, chipped up linoleum counter with decades of wear. I expected hot, delicious, old style diner food done up on a grill that has been in use since Jesus was a Private.(Army term for ‘friggin’ old’.) The above; exactly what I got! I ordered a three egg, mushroom and Pepper Jack omelette with home fries, grilled english muffin and beans. Outstanding! The coffee was dang good, they use real light cream for your coffee, the service was great! Waitress kept the coffee cups full. It was also mighty busy at that time, between the dine-ins’ and the take-outs, the guys behind the grill were right on top of things. Oh, bring cash, because like them good-olé days: no debit, no credit.

Best weiners and onion rings in Pawtucket. Totally a slam dunk every time. Wish the parking was a bit better but not a knock against the restaurant. Employees are always delightful.

Best wieners around! If you haven’t tried this Rhode Island staple, get ‘em here. Delicious, hot, perfectly steamed buns, fresh chopped fine onions. Do it the Rhode Island way & get it with a large coffee milk. The service was helpful & friendly, too. NOT a fine dining place! But if you’re looking for a good diner with good food, come here!

Been going to kips since I was a kid. It’s the perfect place for a great breakfast at super low prices. The wieners are also fantastic. Staff is very friendly and accommodating. The only complaint I’ve ever had is that their small drinks and juices are about the size of a shot glass, make sure to order a large and you’ll be a happy customer.

Food had absolutely no flavor. Coffee was watery but OK. I just can’t get over how bland everything was. Had eggs, home fries, sausage, and raisin toast. How can sausage be flavorless? Buttermilk pancakes were passable but only due to the butter and imitation maple syrup. Other reviewers have accolades to the waitresses but ours was not that great.

My first time here and I liked it. For the omelettes I thought it was cute how they stack them like pancakes. Alot of food is given for a cheap price. She forgot the jelly that comes with it but that’s ok I dont care for jelly too much. Its a typical diner so you obviously can’t go into it with too high of an expectation. Most diners are cash only anyway and have an atm inside. If citizens is your bank it’s literally right next door and u can walk over to take money out and avoid the bank fees. Overall I liked the food and service !

Gotta Like Kip’s Kip’s is a small diner like family restaurant that serves mostly breakfast and lunch. It’s an old school place that hasn’t been updated in 30 years but who cares. They serve a quality breakfast at an affordable price. Going to hit it for lunch soon. Keep it going, Kip’s! Thanks

Love the wieners and fries! Great bacon cheese burgers too! Love the family friendly diner atmosphere. They have great little treats to add to make any home cooked meal great.

Food is so-so. I had the Breakfast Special with burnt raisin toast. You can’t toast this things at the same rate as regular toast coz the raisins burn easily. My OJ was from a concentrate. Womp womp. Bf had Western Omelette. They only put cheese and ham on it. NOPEPPERS. Apparently a lot of regulars come here coz the staff pay more attention to them. We had to flag our waitress couple times to refill our coffees and my OJ which she’d only given me towards the end of my meal coz she’d forgotten.

Breakfast is just meh. I think the glowing reviews are more for the kind staff that work there(they are SO nice) and how cheap breakfast is. You do actually get a lot of food for not much– but I’m personally more about quality not quantity. Two stars– because the food is very basic and because for some reason this place has wayyy too many good reviews on Unilocal and it’s misleading IMO.

What a great place! I used to love going there when I was a kid. I went to the Jr High down the street(Goff) and stopped in there almost daily. I have been in there a few times within the last couple of weeks for breakfast and also for lunch. The food is just as good as I remember but the staff, including the owners, are much better. Very personal and friendly.

Went for Breakfast with family on a Sunday morning and the place was packed. Food was good the service was not. The waitress stopped taking our order half way thru so she could go joke around with someone. They don’t take debit cards or credit cards so I had to get up from my meal walk over to the bank take out 40 $ go back to eat only to get my bill later and it was 43 $ so I had to walk back to bank take out another 20 $. Each time it costs me 3.50 $ in service charge so it costs me 7.00 $ to pay for a over priced meal. They do have a ATM in the place it’s out of order there.

It’s very easy to give this place five stars. Growing up in Pawtucket there were two diners to go to– Kip’s and Bill’s. both offered great service and authentic diner goods. By the 90s, Bill’s was sold and went downhill. Yet, Kip’s endures due to the hard work of the owners. The service is always fast and friendly, the portions decent and the aroma is authentic diner. One of my favorites is their weiners. I wouldn’t say they are the best in RI, but they are very good. You probably won’t hear about them as elite RI food critics only go to one place apparently. It may not be good on your waist line, but it is easy on your wallet and simple good eating for your pallet.

I am giving Kip’s 5 stars for exactly what they are… a great little hole-in-the-wall diner. There are many similar restaurants in RI, but Kip’s holds a special place in my heart. Before moving to NC10 years ago, Kip’s was my go-to place for late night breakfast and Hot Wieners for lunch. My husband and I went to Kip’s a couple of weeks ago while we were in town and we had a classic RI lunch… two«all the way», fries, and Coffee milk. It was just as delicious as I remember. The restaurant still looks like it did many, many years ago and the service was great Kudos to Kip’s for keeping it real all of these years!
