I have to disagree with the other reviewer, this is actually a pretty decent local magazine. Yeah, it’s not the New York Times, but it’s not trying to be, it’s more like Time Out NY — it covers local stuff and covers it well.
I regularly check out both Motif and the Phoenix to find out what’s going on, and inevitably I find something worth going to. Will these «rags» win any literary awards? Nope. Will they help local people find out what’s happening locally?
