I’ve attended two paint events here and had the same instructor both times. The instruction is not as good as I’ve had at Muse. There wasn’t enough detail on mixing colors, and there was a lot of confusion among attendees. I believe I’m valid in saying this based on the following: my first event here was with six other people, each person got confused at some point and mentioned not believing instruction was clear, my second event I attended with a friend and she also made the same comment, that Muse’s instructions are better, and lastly, two people new to these nights sat beside us and also expressed the same thing. I’d think that is enough agreement of various people about the instruction needing clarity. Parking is easy and the location is super convenient. I love the bring your own snacks option, too. The counter person who helps with beverages(for which you get two tickets and cannot purchase more) has been enthusiastic, helpful, and friendly both times. I wish there was a sparkling water or flavored sletzer option vs just beer, wine, or soda. I don’t drink any of those, and would love a fizzy water. I’m going back for a bottle lamp night and will update my review. I hope I get to try another instructor to better judge that aspect. Well, unfortunately, even though two paint events were happening at once, the one I was in had the same instructor, so I cannot compare someone else… the bottle was fun to paint. Instruction was still more«watch what I do» than a clear explanation of HOW to do it. Alas, I hope the venue posts who is teaching in a future calendar or I will call before returning to see if it is another teacher. It was easier painting a bottle with the layout of the space, which is a bit cramped/tight. Everyone is always excusing themselves to get to the bathroom, access a bit more paint, get to the beverage counter, etc. They need to pack a few LESS people into the space!

It’s a great night out. I had my birthday there and it was so much fun. The only downside is that it is so much fun, it’s addicting, you’ll want to go more than a couple of times!

LOVE coming here! The classes are so much fun and the paintings are great for beginners! The instructors are great too. Katie is the best and absolutely hilarious! Do not pass paint night at this cute little spot up! The only thing that could be better is parking but it’s in Pawtucket so I guess there isn’t much to be done about that. Maybe they’ll open another location a little more central RI? Hope so!

Painting was OK here. I prefer the other«paint nights» to this one. The teacher was not much of a teacher. She didn’t take enough time explaining and I only saw her come by us twice all night. Music was low. There was also a 15 minute break to allow drying time which I thought weird. Been to several paint nights and the paint dry very fast but not the case here. Also cheaper canvas, when your brush strokes it moves the paint around and leaves white lines. I’ll stick to the other places which are more expensive but not if you have a coupon ;)

Perfect place for a date! I first went on my first valentines day with my girl friend and enjoyed it because it was fun, different, and different. I would definitely plan ahead of time especially if you want to go on a holiday such as Valentines day or on a weekend. Neither my girlfriend nor myself are very artistic but was able to paint a picture that looks professional. I recently purchased 4 tickets for my parents and girlfriend parents as a Christmas presents and the owner was able to print out certificates to the class i scheduled for me to give to each of them. Keep in mind, neither side have ever met and the owners are going to keep it a secret and on top of that they also are going to reserve seats to have them sitting across from one another. I would recommend this place/event to everyone who wants to relax, have fun, paint, and drink. Nothing but good things to say about this place.

I’m a crafty lady, but my talents at painting begin and end at Crayola finger paints. Are you like me? Slightly more talented(not a hard mark to hit?) Just a dude or chick who wants to relax with friends, be a little silly, and maybe even get a little tipsy in the process? Well, get your behind down to Paint and Vino. Located on the water(sort of) in historic downtown Pawtucket, Paint and Vino is a funky, artsy little oasis that doesn’t take itself too seriously, yet creates a seriously fun atmosphere. The instructors are incredibly talented, and break down each project into simple-to-follow instructions that leave plenty of room to let your creative flag fly. The price is reasonable$ 35.00 a head, which includes two drink tickets. Check out their FB page for specials and promos, as well as couples’ projects, lamps, and other fun events.

I absolutely love this place, loved how included in the price was two drinks. The hose that was mixing the drink was so most personable and the artist that was taking a step by step super patient because they were some people there that have clearly had a little to drink prior to arrival. A great way to meet people and to try something new would recommend this place to anyone looking to try this.

So last night was my second time at the Paint and Vino in Pawtucket and I love it there. It was my friends birthday and she had been wanting to do this for a long time, so I surprised her with it. The price for admission is $ 35.00 which includes the painting that you create and keep as well as not one, but two… Yes two, drink tickets! None of the other painting and vino establishments offer the two drinks tickets. They also up the prices based on the painting and day whereas this one does not. It’s a set price. The owner is super sweet and is behind the«bar» area serving up your drinks. She has two local artists who work there, of which I have been able to paint for both, and they are extremely witty, knowledgable and talented. They literally will take you through step by step and you will paint a beautiful picture even if you do not have a talented bone in your body. If you are celebrating a low key birthday or special event, you are allowed to bring outside food in to enjoy while you paint. There is also a private room that can be booked with a minimum of 15 people, all for the same admission price of $ 35.00 each, where you are able to choose any painting you want to create, even from the retired ones. I have already booked my next outing there near the end of October. You really just can’t go wrong. My only reason for 4 stars is because parking is a little tight however, they do have additional parking down the street in a lot.

This joint is awesome. For 40 bucks you get two beverages(beer, wine, soda, coffee, tea, water) and paint a cool painting you can take home with you. This is a painting studio where an art teacher gets up on a stage and instructs you through painting a painting while you drink(hence paint and vino). The staff are lovely and the instructors are fun and friendly and all around make for a fun experience. The beer and wine selection is not infinite by any means but they do include standards and then popular seasonal ones. Today I’m having Sam Adams Oktoberfest and then Shipyard Pumpkinhead. I mean, you can’t beat that as far as I’m concerned. You can place a reservation for a private party for a bridal shower, birthday party, fundraiser, whatever. It’s gender neutral fun, the only requirement is to like to drink and paint. If you struggle with the painting the instructor will come around and help you. So much fun, it’s so worth every last cent and I love coming here.

This place seems nice, although it’s tricky to find and the parking is almost non existent. You can go down the street to a side lot but make sure you don’t dare park in any of those office lots! What signage there is for direction is small and not easily noticed. Inside, it’s efficiently organized and big enough for large groups. The instructor was pleasant enough. However it put me off that she decided to make fun of previous customers in the name of humor. Also, making comments about being on prescription meds and giving her camera the middle finger in a mock selfie is apparently not only funny, but appropriate when you’re interacting directly with clientele. I never knew this. Ultimately, this is a concept that seems to be more of an excuse to drink and pretend you’re making art than anything else. Woe be to those who can’t imbibe.

I absolutely had a blast going to paint and vino. The people working there are great and they help you out and give you a lesson that works for any painting level. I think $ 35 is well worth it for the 2 drinks, all of the supplies and lesson, plus a fun night out. I already have my second visit booked and i will certainly be going more.

I had a really fun time enjoying a belated birthday celebration with my sister at Paint and Vino the other night. I know the trend for painting/drinking has been taking off lately, and there are multiple venues that offer this experience. So far I’ve tried a couple. First, I attended a paint and wine event at Roger Williams Park Zoo where we painted a red panda. It was fun, and a bit challenging since we were painting a pretty detailed creature. I actually enjoyed the experience at Paint and Vino more. First of all, this place exclusively does paint and wine events. There are a lot of paintings to choose from, and each month there is a calendar depicting all the options available. The paintings rotate, so you can easily find something you like, and also find reasons to return to paint others! I also like that you get two free drinks with your admission(the zoo had one free drink, but did include snacks too!). I like how one basic painting was created in so many different ways by all the people in the class. No two painting looked alike – ATALL. I know that some people who attend these events are more artistically inclined, while others do it just for fun, but either way, you will unleash your inner artist, and maybe even make some new friends :)

I loved my painting experience :) I had so much fun, the facility is super cute, the teacher was awesome and the staff handled a very rude and demanding customer with way more patience and class than they deserved. I can’t wait to come back.

Try it! Great for a small group of friends to do together.

What a great time! I’ve had the pleasure of coming here a few times, but the most outstanding experience was when I organized a bachelorette party for my friend. We wanted something fun but not raunchy for the ladies, and this did not disappoint. The owners are a married couple… Rachel is the sweetest person — she was so attentive and willing to answer all my questions. She made the night super special for us and even offered a complimentary champagne toast for the group on the terrace overlooking the beautiful waterfall! We were able to bring in snacks and enjoyed two drink tickets per person. Many of us found hidden artistic talents too. I’m so glad to see a small business thriving in this economy. These folks deserve their success — they really care about their customers!

So much fun! This was my second time doing this activity, but my first at Paint and Vino. First off, leave a little early as the streets of Pawtucket are just too confusing. This place is listed as being 150 Main Street, but the entrance is in the back of the building which is really on Roosevelt Ave. They have a parking lot and there is off-street parking as well. You receive two drink tickets and they have snacks available for purchase. You are allowed to bring in your own food and non-alcoholic beverages. You cannot buy any of the alcoholic beverages there though, you have your two drink tickets and that’s it. Also remember to bring some money for tips for the person teaching you to paint and the person serving drinks. My friends and I did the Starry Night painting and it was so fun! I am not artistic in the slightest so I am always amazed at how easy it seems when someone is showing you exactly how to do it. All of our paintings came out awesome. An added touch at this place is they give you a wine cork with a small piece of velcro glued to it, and you can paint it any way you like and then they stick them to the walls around the studio. I liked that! Definitely wear clothes you don’t mind getting paint on, although they do give you an apron. If you plan on leaving as soon as you are finished painting it’s probably a good idea to bring a sheet or towel that you can lay your painting on in your car. We stuck around for a bit, so my painting was dry by the time we left. I was pleasantly surprised at how fast it went by too. I’m sure it varies painting to painting, but this session started at 7PM and we were done by 9. The previous place I had been to took 3 – 4 hours for our painting. There is a 15 minute break in the middle of class too. Another tip, I wouldn’t recommend this for children. It’s mostly meant for adults and there were plenty of patrons last night making jokes/comments that just aren’t appropriate for children. Take the kiddos elsewhere. I love doing things like this, it’s a total self-esteem booster for me as I really yearn to be artistic but I’m just not. This makes me feel like I can paint! If only I had more wall space I’d do it more often.

Brilliant — absolutely brilliant! Nestled on Main St, you will find a gem of business. A fun night out, a painting class, 2 glasses of wine/beer/soda, and a fantastic memory you will cherish :) Pawtucket is making a great comeback as a destination for the arts, and Paint and Vino is a perfect addition. I felt like I had a mental and emotional massage after painting in our class. Here are my suggestions 1. Make a reservation 2. Wear an outfit you wouldn’t mind getting a few paint specks on(they do provide aprons) 3. Put an old towel or sheet down in your car(your painting might still be wet when you bring it home) 4. Take a few extra dollars so you can leave a little tip for your bartender :) 5. Leave a little early, so you can arrive 15⁄20 mins early(plus, pawtucket streets can be confusing) 6. When you get to the intersection of Main St & Roosevelt Ave Exd — take a right(slater mill will be on the left at this intersection) 7. Park in one of their two private parking lots. 8. Enjoy!

Not sure of the difference between Manet and Monet? Botticelli and Brunelleschi? Not to worry, my unfamiliar Uelsmanns! Paint and Vino will *still* be a great night out. Wet your whistle, dampen your bristles — - — - it’s art time! Parking is on Roosevelt(street and lot parking) — due to detour it’s a dead-end street, so not a whole lot of traffic to worry about. $ 35 get’s you: paint + canvas + instruction on how to apply paint to canvas + wine to aid cooping with paint-to-canvas result. There are some snacks on sale for ~$ 1 and soft drinks/water/tea available if liquor ain’t to your likin’. Jessica lead our CMYE class of about thirty down the rabbit hole of a «mystery painting»(ie: the student has NO idea where the composition is headed). She did a great job at guiding us — but, personally, I prefer to know where I’m headed(I need some structure to my stylizin’). Canvas is about 18″ x 15″. Paints are elementary, dear Watson(no, really… even in the generic«Art Teacher! Pump me some more» jugs of primary colors). While I was initially a little put off by this, I quickly appreciated the simplicity of it all(hard to take yourself too seriously when you’re painting with the butt of a cork and giggling over Merlot). Loosen up, have confidence, and ENJOY the process! When taking the group portrait, a fellow artiste happened to get a little too close to Jessica’s example canvas(aaaand apparently that paint is TOUGH to get out of clothing). Tip: wear something you’re ok with staining(especially types like me: the quirky and uncoordinated). My last tip to you un-tapped artists: bring a sheet to put down in your trunk, you can put your still-wet painting on the sheet for less messy transportation.(wish that I had thought about this BEFORE the event). It’s a GREAT concept, and the first of its kind in the area(that I know of, anyway), and the location certainly has extreme potential(classes outside, next to the dam? — cool!). My personal suggestions to this budding business: themed nights(silly accents, artist costumes, and pre-selected compositions), and peppier tunes(we’re there to imbibe and invent! Pump up those jams!).

Paint & Vino is so much fun! I went there last night for the CMYE… What a great time! An awesome place for a girls night out, a group, or I’d even go there by myself for a get away night! It is in downtown Pawtucket, and the actual entrance faces the Blackstone River so if you are driving down Main Street searching for it it’s a little tricky. They have dedicated parking which is actually on Roosevelt Ave, and a nice convenience. They have a very nice terrace with cozy chairs overlooking the Blackstone River to sit out and enjoy your vino! The art instructor Jessica who was there last night was super fun! She jumped up on stage and showed everyone step by step how to make a lovely painting and walked around the room to encourage us as we created our works of art! Truly a fun time! I can’t wait to go back!
