If you want some amazingly good authentic Mexican food, this is THE place to go! Don’t be fooled by the fact that it’s a taco truck in a parking lot. The food smells so good it will make you try anything, including cow tongue(which I tried for the first time). The only downside is that it’s not a sit down and eat place and there’s very limited parking so you are better off arriving by foot. Tacos don nacho is definitely a lunch and dinner place for any day of the week and any week of the year. When you hear people say«It makes me feel like I’m home» you know the food is the real deal. I highly recommend at least checking it out. Not everyone will try cow tongue but I guarantee there is nothing a Mexican food lover will not like here!

Don’t let the look fool you! OK, you’ll be dining on a busy street at a picnic table, but that’s why the prices are so fair! It’s good eatin’.

This stationary food truck has excellent tacos, and a big bang for your dollar. I’ve been here dozens of times, and everyone I take here falls in love with the food, too. Highly recommended for a quality, cheap lunch or dinner.

Really authentic Mexican, honestly walking up and the locals eating there, you think you were in Mexico. There isn’t anything on this menu that is going to steer you wrong. The tacos are made with great care, all corn no flour tortillas. A wide variety of meat selections(Barbacoa on the weekends :)) Note that TDN is all outdoor so needs to be a warm day or you are sitting in your car. Also, with a moderate line, your food will take at least 15 – 20 minutes if you don’t call ahead. Parking is at a major premium but the streets are usually clear to park near TDN.

I tried a platter of each meat of tacos. Didn’t do it for me. They were average. The meat was a little dried out. The tongue was good. Tacos in Rhode Island have failed me. Gotta hit up new haven food trucks to get the real deal!

Great spot for a yummy fresh bite… been coming here for awhile and food has been consistent… Prices are great and service is friendly and pretty quick… I usually get the porky burrito or a few chicken/pork tacos with extra avocado on the side, Nachos have a generous portion … Everything I’ve tried so far has been fresh and delish, oh and you must try the Horchata… It’s quite refreshing especially after I put hot sauce green and red over my yummy food, it’s a sweetened milk and cinnamon type drink over ice! This little food truck won’t disappoint you!

I’ve had them plenty of times and never disappointed. I have a particularly good experience because I always call ahead to order right before I leave my house or am nearby. By the time I arrive my order is ready, well packaged and affordable. The tacos themselves are fresh and delicious. I only have the carne asada and carnitas. The extra sauce is excellent. One day I decided to try their horchata. I had to throw it away. It tastes incredibly processed and overdone with sugar. I prefer the horchata in Olneyville Sq. at La Lupita any day.

I’ve frequented the various Tacos Don Nachos over the years, and no doubt they can have good tacos. However, there’s been a notable uptick in the number of very good tacos in RI and this place has gotta step it up. Positives: — mostly good tasting tacos and salsa — corn tortillas are standard, none of that gringo flour tortilla nonsense unless requested by said gringo. Gotta appreciate Meso-American culinary history, food babes! — open late for unreasonable night time taco urges — ELOTES(when in season) — an actual taco bell is rung when an order is up Needs improvement: — 3-legged horse mascot needs its 4th leg back. Also the fake seated mustachioed dummy looks like a pedo esp. at night. It’s sketchy looking enough with the chain link fence and broken lights, can we please not have Halloween the other 364 days of the year? Ay dios meo! — seasoning can be so-so at times — where the heck are my radishes? — the burritos look huge until you notice the over-abundance of rice and iceberg lettuce Overall good tacos if in the area, but no longer first and foremost in my mind nor a go-out-of-my-way taco hookup.

Honestly, the best tacos that I have tasted since my visits to California, Texas and Mexico! I am so glad to finally find something this good on the East Coast without the East Coast stupid prices. Everything is made fresh to order and each sampling of food I have had was amazing. Several words of caution is that there is only outdoor seating and this is a cash only establishment.

5 yrs after my first review and am still impressed with the tacos. Delicious, all of them: chicken, asado, pastor, etc. Tamales also tasty, although a little sparse on the fillings. Not a fan of the ceviche, sad to say. You can call ahead to order, don’t go if you are in a bad rush. We like to pick them up and drive to Lippett Park to munch away.

Just ordered 5 tacos. All on corn tortillas with cilantro and onion with radishes and lime. They were the perfect cheap meal for a hungry taco loving girl like myself! Lengua was super tender and delicious and the chorizo was spicier than most which is why I loved it. The people who took our order were super friendly and it was a short wait of only 5 minutes which is even better. Overall a good experience and I will be sure to come back again. Plus they are open late!

I really enjoyed my first meal a Tacos Don Nacho the other day. Four soft tacos came to $ 6 and another one would’ve made me pleasantly full. The ingredients are very fresh and taste very authentic. You can tell that the people who work there take pride in what they do. Parking can be a little difficult sometimes but there’s a Dunkin Donuts across the street that everyone says to park. I ordered 2 steak and 2 chicken tacos and asked for the red and the green sauce which were very tasty. The sauces aren’t overpowering in heat or flavor and they mesh very well together. All in all, a very pleasant experience!

Despite the outdoor décor, the pseudo food truck and the poncho-wearing dude on the horse, the food just did not inspire much confidence. I got the steak quesadilla, lingua(beef tongue) burrito, and horchata. The quesadilla was incredibly oily and had a much greater cheese to meat ratio. The burrito, while certainly sizable, was mostly tortilla and rice, and was also lacking on meat. The service was friendly, but it took over 15 minutes to get our food and we were pretty much the only customers. It does appear that the food came in fresh and was cooked to order, but overall, I was quite disappointed by what we got. The best part is the green sauce, which was pretty spicy and washed out the greasy aftertaste. The pirce… meh. The tacos were $ 1.50 per piece(very small and double tortilla), $ 7 quesadilla. Food: 2 star Price: 2 star Ambiance: 2 star

What a great find! We had four different items and all of them were absolutely delicious and authentic. Both the salsa verde and salsa Rojas were just delicious. The ceviche was fresh with firm shrimp, tomatoes and lime juice. Took a little while to get our food but really worth the wait. It’s a super casual parking lot truck with great food.

Great tacos, open pretty late. Bench sitting is available, you can place in your order in advance. Only thing that sucks is that they only accept cash. I would recommended this taco truck :)

Again, issues with substitutions here. I ordered the nachos with no chips so it would simply come like a taco salad. After letting the cook and presumably his son know of my order SEVERAL times I still received the nachos. Again, I told them several times that I simply wanted nachos with no chips. I don’t know how I could have been ANY clearer. With that being said, I had to take a star away. Not because of their undeniably questionable service but the food just wasn’t right this time which was extremely disappointing because I haven’t been here in a long time and was SO looking forward to it. The chicken rather than being shredded were weird small little balls of chicken with little to no flavor, was dry and toppings were sparing. I will still go here for the ceviche, unfortunately I am going to have to travel elsewhere for my Mexican.

I realize this is naïve, but I was passing by and thought, «naychos, yeah…». Now I know this place is one of those authentica perma-trucks, but I also thought, «when in CF…» — I didn’t really think that nor do I have an explanation for what that means. The chips were damn-near perfect. The iceberg served refreshing contrast to their subtle saltiness and the cilantro packed a fresh punch that I craved. Along with diced onion and a creeps up on you salsa, I was cold-chillin. It was a bizarre request, but my vegetarian ash, got what it desired without any animal byproducts. Pretty cool that a little taco stand is able to accommodate a little weirdo like yours truly.
