Friendly, helpful and well stocked store at reasonable prices(almost always cheaper than any of the large box stores). When they recommend a product it works. And their advice is always spot on.

There is nothing that you need that Tessier’s doesn’t have or can’t order for you. Between this great general store, Hannah’s paints, just down the street and L. Sweet lumber in Olneyville, there is no reason to EVER step foot in Home Depot again.

I can’t believe this place has only 4 reviews! This is your olde skool, neighborhood hardware store that carries everything you need for projects around the house. Home Depot should be considered an alternative and not a first option. These guys are super nice, have no how and can order what you need if they don’ have it. Support a local business and keep your dollars in Rhode Island. Fun place to walk around too, nice and tight, packed with goodies.

For a store 1⁄100 the size of home depot this place is great.

1,000,000 things in a store the size of your living room. No shit, there is more stuff packed into a tiny area than you would believe. If you don’t see it, ask for it. I’ve come in with some pretty oddball requests and the guy disappears into the attic or basement and reappears with the thingy. This great neighborhood hardware store has been around longer than I’ve been alive. Family owned and operated since day 1. Long Live Tessier’s. Screw you Home Depot. My favorites– Bulk bin fasteners, cable, rope and chain by the foot, and a lot of those ‘make worklife easier’ gadgets like gloves and flashlights and doohickeys. Staff is usually pretty helpful. There is one fat grumpy ass that you should avoid. Sometimes you get a bit of the ‘playing dumb’ act. «You want a what? Huh?» Everyone else is pretty cool. No one there has ever tried to upsell or bullshit me into buying crap I don’t need. Good hours. Decent parking. My ma shops there and they are not condescending or rude.
