The Looff Carousel in Slater Park is so good that it deserves its own entry. Nestled in the heart of the park, the carousel has been in operation for over 100 years. The age doesn’t show at all, as the restoration and upkeep on the facilities seems impeccable. A meager 25 cent ticket gets you a whilring ride that will abolutely thrill your inner kid. The horses don’t go up and down like later models, but this sucker goes FAST for a hundred year old carousel! Wow! The organ and the bell are loud, which may startle the young ones. Friendly folks work here. There are other amusements, a cool model of the USS Wasp, and a full snack bar. Enjoy!
