I will say that this is the first time that I have ever left a review on anything but felt it was necessary due to the very poor customer service that the owners provide to their paying customers. If you ever want to plan an event here such as a wedding, Ihighly recommend going else where. They will be super friendly to your face and seem like the nicest people in the world, but as soon as you sign and pay them, they turn into complete a** holes. They will tell you what to do and will be breathing down your necks watching your every move. They will sit there and look for anything to come and complain to you. Also they are very hypocritical. They will tell you not to do one thing and the next minute they will do the exact thing that they told you not to do. Also if you tell them that you will write a bad review, Randy(the Owner) will threaten you saying that he «Will find out who you are and make your life hell!» Very rude people and yet all we wanted to do was have a very simple wedding and reception but they seem like the people that have nothing else to do but sit and complain and try to make the event very difficult as if there isn’t enough stress trying to set everything up in a timely manner and making sure everything goes smoothly. We wanted set up a few more event tents because it had been raining all week and didnt want the guests to stand in the rain. No big deal right? WRONG! They then wanted to complain about that. like seriously what difference does it make if there is one tent or six for the private event? They have a porta-john also that was full and asked if it was possible for them to empty it before the event and said they would if they got paid another $ 150. They even knew about this wedding reception for over a month so they clearly had enough time to empty it for their paying customers. Then Randy’s wife told the groom the day after the wedding that she wanted to charge him another $ 250 or so because there were more than 80 people that attended. Mind you they had already gotten paid the full amount that was agreed on which was roughly $ 1,500. So I was very dissapointed with Randy and his wife for the way that they treated everyone that tried to make this a special day for the bride and groom. So if you want to plan an event here and dont mind being told what to do the entire time that you are trying to set up, then go right on ahead, but if you would like to be treated with respect, then I highly recommend going elsewhere. We even tried to be respectful of their«rules» but it was one thing after the other non stop and they never seemed to be pleased.

I just want to say we are from California and the owner was nice enough to open for us durning the week even though they are only open on the weekend. The owner was very nice an very attentive helping us with the fishing we caught 5 rainbow trout and it was a lot of fun. Great experience.

Our boys, 5 and 7, loved this place. They each caught three fish over the course of 40 minutes which is perfect for children – who like to fish but have short attention spans. Beautiful oak and pine trees provided shade on a lush grassy lawn where we picnicked afterwards. Rancho Tonto provides poles and bait, clean the fish for you, and even provides kits if you want to grill your fish up on site. The«fish tender» was a very nice lady and gave the boys a fish anatomy lesson when they showed an interest in her cleaning the fish. The whole experience cost $ 56 which we felt was a reasonable price for the entertainment and some tasty trout to grill up tonight! If you have been to the Rainbow Trout Farm in Sedona the prices are comparable. Sedona’s fish are bigger but Rancho Tonto’s property is much nicer and there are fewer people.
