Glama Furs

It doesn’t get any better than Glama as far as buying/​storing/​restoring/​repairing any kind of fur. I’ve purchased several over many years, in addition to scarves and accessories — great customer service across the board, no hard sell (but good deals!). There are a fair number of fur stores in the area, I suspect, but Manny is a life-​long furrier and a joy to deal with so this is the real deal… Just as Glama had come highly recommended to me, I’ve sent several happy people there as well.

This place has apparently been in business for years and it all makes sense. I ripped a rabbit fur jacket and wanted it fixed by Christmas. The furrier was more than helpful. Although he currently didn’t have black rabbit fur to match my jacket, he suggested black Mink. Since the rip was in the armpit, the mink replacement was undetectable. The furrier is a genius, as far as I’m concerned. The jacket was ready just in time for Christmas.

Glama Furs, located in Peabody MA., is not only a strong example of both high quality but also exceptional customer service. The owners strive to meet every detail, expectation, and request their customers have (many of which have been going back to them for years).
In addition, the owners make you feel as if you’re family (truly– I don’t think there is a customer that they don’t know on a first name basis). That type of business to customer relationship is difficult to find in this day and age. Glama also consistently works to trend set and offer a multitude of various services that help their customers in any way possible with their new or existing furs. There is no pressured sales tactics either, which, I find most people appreciate when shopping.
And while I appreciate the previous reviewee’s opinion on fur, and I too am an animal lover (I saw the video that was referenced as well), it’s important to look at each situation on a ‘case by case’ basis. I find that review meritless in that respect. The owners of this establishment are hard working people, having made a living learning this trade and built a means to provide for their families and loved ones. In addition, I think many of us have used or chose not to use products that have affected both negative or positive, animals and/​or the environment. I think it is important to be informed & have an opinion, but also appreciate and understand the differences of lifestyle and values regarding this subject.

We moved to the Northshore six years ago from DC. After trying a couple other furriers for fur coat storage, Glama Furs was recommended by a friend. Not only do they have beautiful fur coats (I ended up buying another coat), they treat everyone as family. I just brought in an old mink coat that had been my mother’s which had a very strong moth ball smell. Manni, the owner, worked miracles and the coat is now perfectly cleaned and odor free!!! They are absolutely the best!!!
