I’m kind of glad I didn’t have time to get haircut before my Boston trip, otherwise I wouldn’t have found this place. Met up with my cousin since we had dinner plans later that night. I asked if he had a spot he recommended for a cut, he told me he gets his at gold hair salon all the time. Alright, I“ll bite.
Walked in to a clean and somewhat spacious place. Didn’t have to wait long before I was greeted by Sally the hairstylist. I told her EXACTLY what I wanted and she performed it to a T. I was pretty surprised since I’ve been to many salons in my years (in NY) and most don’t cut your hair the way you want them to. Vibrant & affable, Sally really knew what she was doing.
If I’m back in the area and need a cut, I’ll be coming back here.

The staff is friendly and accommodating. I arrived early and they took me right away. I had a wax done and she was quick and professional. I didn’t feel like is was a total spa, but perfect for getting what you need done. Prices are more than reasonable.

DO NOT GO HERE!!!
This was by far the very worse mani/​pedi I have ever had! The woman who did my nails was rough and hurt me several times when cutting my cuticles. She was rude speaking in Portugese the whole time and then getting up to talk to other people answer the phone… took almost 2 hours to get the whole mani/​pedi. When she painted my nails she got the polish everywhere all over my toes and fingers — she had to use nail polish remover to clean it up — the final product was a messy — bubbly manicure. Finally — the place IS NOT CLEAN — STAY AWAY!!!

Nice salon on the North Shore, My wife comes here often for their mani-ped’s, and raves about them. I have only had my haircut, but was happy with the results.

this is the worst salon i have ever been too. My sister and I bought a groupon for a 25 dollar mani and pedi. When we got there we checked the address again bc we honestly thought we were in the wrong place. the woman doing my mani polished my entire finger and then rubbed off the polish with remover after she buffed the skin off my fingers. When i told her she was hurting me she said it shouldn’t and that was it. My pedicure was a joke. Everyone can tell how uncomfortable i was and just wanted to get out of there. My sister’s experience was no better than mine.

This is by far my favorite hair salon and spa in the North Shore. Staff is very friendly, prices are great. Every time I call, even without an appointment, they always find a way to fit me in. Both my wife and I are fans of the Gold! I would recommend this to anyone looking for great service.
