It use to be my favorite place in Peabody to pick up good wholesome food. The food always varies, well cooked, seasoned appropriately so it is not salty but unfortunately the price doubled recently. I went from paying $ 4−5~ for a small plate just enough to fill you but not enough for 2 meals to $ 9 for the same amount of food. The portions are smaller and the empanadas have no almost no meat filler

Awesome, just awesome. The food is as good as if you cooked it at home, and the service(with a smile) was even better. I do not speak fluent Spanish, the lady that helped me went above & beyond to help answer my question about something I did not recognize in the display case. She looked it up on her phone and translated it to English for me. I got the rice and red beans, chicken with fried plantains and fried cheese, yummmmmyyy. The plate was $ 10.00 and I ate half of it. I might add I have a great appetite — saving the second half for dinner. I give this 5 stars… try it ! Do not be intimidated if you have not eaten Spanish nor speak it. You will be glad you tried it.

Barrier of speaking any English was zero… frustrating when your server doesn’t know what your saying. Empanadas were horrible as they were oily and hardly filled with meat. Casing displayed food which was hardly filled and what was left looked horrible. I will drive to Lawrence to Pollo Tipico!

The mashed plantains topped with red sautéed onions and fried salami and sausage(Pork) on the side was very good, just what I was looking for. This is a very typical Dominican breakfast along with the fried cheese that I forgot to add. Although the fried cheese is missing, I still devoured it. I know it may sound like an atypical breakfast but the idea is to fill you up. This is defientely a fulfilling breakfast and it meets the standards. Highly Recommend.
