Point of View Optical

We have as a family and extended family been going to Point of View since opening always good CSR and Eye doctor nails it every time and yes big box chains are cheaper Walmart,
Lens crafters, etc very good companies also, but I am writing this of yesterday I called to make new appointment and Service was on and stated cannot take any calls due illness, I am concerned for them. So Richard if you can hear us please lets us know you are ok as of you and your staff have always been polite and skilled to us. and yes will do payment plan. very good business .

I have been going to the eye Dr. for many years and very faithful to him and his practice; however do to a conflict in scheduling and my need for a new set of contact I decided to try a local Optical facility located a few miles from my home. Point of View Optical; let me first say I should have ran for the door when I saw how dirty and unorganized the place is; however I decided to go forward with the exam.
The so called Dr. was a joke, he never once check me for Glaucoma which is very standard practice every time I go for an eye exam. He asked me if I knew my current prescription was which I did and he dialed that into the machine, a couple of click to see which I could see better with and with that he ended my exam, I sat in the chair for no more than 3 minuets.
I then proceed to get fited for contacts and a new frame, when the price came to me and was told he would slash the price almost in half, I jumped on the offer. To good to be true, OH YES. Just received my credit card bill and it is double what was told to me as the final cost. When I confronted Point of View, I was told that price that was given to me was just for the glasses and not the contacts. REALLY! You itemized everything for me and stated Nothing worse that have someone not explain everything to you and do the olé bait and switch on you.
Do you self a favor, I’m not a big Pearl Vision person or LensCrafters, but I would certainly go to one of these places than to step foot into Point of View on Franklin Street in Peabody.
