I am the owner of HMS Designs. I have been in business in this area for 16 years. I have worked with thousands of clients over the years with their new construction and remodel projects. I have always prided myself on strong customer satisfaction. In fact, 100% of my business comes from referrals.
To my knowledge, I have never left a job without 100% customer satisfaction. And we have grown leaps and bounds!
So when I read the negative review on this site about my company, I was clearly upset! The customer never shared their issues/​concerns with me, or I would have done everything in my power to resolve.
I am not one to write «reviews» but I think it’s only fair to share both sides! This is a family owned local business and we strive to excel in everything we do. I hope the one negative review in thousands of jobs will not have much bearing in the opinion of our company. I sure wish all the satisfied customers had written reviews and this would be a mute point.

We recently did a major renovation on our house. HMS Designs did the kitchen cabinetry. The cabinets selected were a nice midrange priced cabinet. No customization available, but they seem to make a decent cabinet. Our problem is not the cabinets but the installation. HMS did a horrible job installing our cabinets. It took 4 or 5 trips for them to correct things and finish the installation. Honestly I was so tired of dealing with everything, I just said they were fine and we paid the rest of what we owed. In the six weeks since they were ‘finished,’ I keep seeing more and more little things that are wrong. Just a quick glance in the kitchen and it all looks really nice but all the little things are just so irritating. It makes me wonder what they did wrong that I can’t see. I would definitely not use them again in the future.
