Pearl City Gateway

This is a fun little place to visit. It’s right across the street from the Pearl City Wal-​Mart and up the hill from the Pier One and Sam’s Club. It has easy access, ample parking (even on a weekend) as well as selections you can’t find elsewhere.
There is a fun make-​it-​yourself yogurt shop, a Law Enforcement Credit Union, Petco, Ramen Ya, McDonald’s, Baby’s R Us, Longs, T J Max, and a unique highly rated coffee shop.
In the area? Make the effort to visit this shopping center. It has everything you could want. All your needs in one place, and fun times looking around…

Very convenient mini shopping center, close to restaurants and Sam’s, just the traffic is absolutely horrendous at this particular area as rush hour traffic is insane and people try to take the back roads to get on the freeway!

I just wanted to recognize a particular representative: Shayla Baker. I’ve now had two interactions with her and they were both wonderful experiences. Besides her having such an easy to talk to personality there wasn’t a single question she couldn’t answer. Not only did she always give me an answer but elaborated and highlighted all the best options for me. The store all together is very convenient and everyone has always been nice. But special kudos for Shayla for an actually fun customer service experience… not something I’d expect in a phone store…

the real reason for longs having 2 stores is because they are trying to keep Walgreen’s away/​from building a store near by??? but pesonally i agree we need more choices of drug stores in the area & variety of another drug store

I really enjoy living in Pearl City. It’s got everything — what you need is just usually down the road or a couple of miles away. No problemo. Easy peasy.
About a mile away from my house sits Pearl City Gateway. Not to be confused with Pearl Highlands, we’re talking about the newer shopping area right across from Walmart.
Our family enjoys the yogurt and really awesome customer service at Cherry on Top. By the way, they stay open late for those night-​time munchies! I think they close at 10 or 11… and while you’re there, the Taro flavor is winnah.
Always a great distration is TJ Maxx. I’m not a Maxxanista, but I enjoy me some shopping and I appreciate selection and value. I just got myself some awesome exercise clothing there last month. Cute clothing for little girls, too! I think I spend more money on stuff for my daughter than anyone else after a trip to TJ Maxx.
If shopping is making you hungry, stop by Ramen-​Ya. They have three excellent combos and GUARANTEE you won’t be able to finish all of your food. Their servings are MONSTER HUGE. Especially the fried rice. Sheesh! You really get your money’s worth here. I like the unagi combo and my kids happily slurp up any of the noodle dishes.
Babies R Us is also nearby and so is Petco and Longs. I have no idea why there’s a Longs here because there’s the old skool Pearl City Longs just a mile away (near Chuck E. Cheese) that’s been open 24 hours for a long time now. Do we really need two Longs in Pearl City? Really? Just don’t get it.
Petco is kinda fun but the people there kinda… suck. Never had good customer service there and we’re an animal-​havin’ family and need to buy stuff all the time. Just meh. The prices could be better, that’s for sure. And the one time I took my dog to be groomed there, well… that’s for another review.
All in all, you’ve got some good places here. New shops added all the time: Subway, a beauty supply store, AT&T… if you live in Pearl City, you know the goods.

Parking: Lots of parking available. I’ve never had a problem finding parking here. That may be a different case now that they opened TJ Maxx.
Stores: Petco, Sally Beauty Supply, Longs, Golf Shop, ATT, Babies R Us, David’s Bridal, Blue Hawaii Sushi, Cherry on Top, McDonalds, Subway, Aloha Hana Nails, Ramen Ya, Federal Credit Union I’m not sure which one.
I personally go to Petco and Longs a lot. I need to check out TJ Maxx and she what all the hub bub is about.

Can I say that I have never had a hard time parking here which is a huge plus to me. It’s probably due to the fact that many stores and establishments just recently opened this year or last year. There is a Longs with a drive thru pharmacy, Babies R Us, David’s Bridal, Roger Dunn golf shop and Petco. I am so happy there is a Petco. My kitty is happy too. Sally’s Beauty Supply has recently opened up also. There is also a couple of food places. There’s McDonald’s, Cherry on Top yogurt, Ramen Ya and Blue Hawaii Sushi just opened. I think there are still a couple more vacancies, if they can get a few more key places, this place will be filling up. But so far, I am satisfied with getting my kitty food and picking up some ramen and gyoza to go.
