Just your run of the mill soft serve ice cream place. I’m not a huge fan of soft serve in general but this was pretty good. And they load on the toppings! It’s a good choice if you live near by.

There are plenty of other ice cream shops closer to where I live, but King Kone blows them all out of the water. Between the friendly young staff, the old time order-at-the-window style, and delicious treats, this is my go to place for a sweet treat. Funny thing is, I don’t really like ice cream all that much, but their frozen custard keeps me coming back. I usually order the orange/vanilla twist with rainbow sprinkes, vanilla softserve with caramel or strawberry, or just plain vanilla soft serve with rainbow sprinkles. I never liked creamsicle flavored ice cream, however the orange part in King Kone’s orange twist is more of a concentrated sherbert, if that makes any sense-it’s definitely not cream. The tart flavor mixed with the light vanilla makes my mouth happy. It gets pretty busy in the summer but it’s worth the wait!

Heard this was the place to go as we just moved. Totally unimpressed. The peanut butter and fudge sauce had no taste. The vanilla ice cream was mediocre at best. Won’t be trying again. Love the location though. :(

This place has been here forever. It serves custard which is more rich and creamy in my opinion. I prefer it over regular soft serve ice cream you can get anywhere. They also great hard ice cream flavors, sundaes, shakes, malted’s, egg creams and slushes. I like the orange ice vanilla twist too. There are picnic tables outside so you can have a seat.

Now they have hard ice cream this is new!!! love hard ice cream… decent variety on the hard ice cream. it’s about time. yes i am a fan… there is something special about eating ice cream on premise out doors.

There are not many places like this left in these parts. This area is lucky enough to have an old school DQ close by as well but if I had to choose. King Cone is tops in the area. I get the chocolate sundae. There’s something about the quality of the soft serve and that chocolate sauce that addicts me. They have an amazing orange cream sickle swirl that they are famous for and that my wife gets every time.

Soft serve and Perry’s hard ice cream. Nothing else to mention. I mean — this is not bad, but yeah, I’ve had better.

Your average walk up soft serve ice cream joint. Ice cream is ok, nothing special. I would not come back.

Ohhh King Kone. such fond memories of summer time as a kid scrounging up all the money I had so I could walk up to Middletown Road and score myself an ice cream cone! More than 20 years later and this place is still exactly the same. It is an awesome family owned ice cream shack serving all different kinds of ice cream and frozen yogurt options ranging from cups, to cones, to shakes with topping galore. Service is quick and the kids at the window are polite and friendly. Keep it up King Kone!

Simply the best-Run by a great bunch of people and family! Pretty and perky girls and friendly polite guys always happy to help. Has long surpassed the Dairy Queen in Montvale as the place to get your summer ice cream fix. They open for St Pats parade and earlier and already in this early time are getting a nice crowd. Sometimes just jammed but brings you back to a different time. You have to try the orange and vanilla swirls! But everyone loves whatever they get be it a shake or hot fudge or swirls. Too bad they dont do burgers and dogs! Great place.

Yummy! Creamy and delicious! Not a huge fan of the orange twist but the soft ice cream is yummy! Also, love the sizes — a small is like a large!

delicious ice cream! great to know that i can get some quality custard in the area since there are no Rita’s around. still not the same as Rita’s, but may have to try again with and ice on top rather than what i got. i do love the fact they had peanut butter shell… never seen that before and it was awesome. great place, lots of seating and good prices make this a perfect ice cream place in Rockland county.

I don’t think I’ve ever pounded a milkshake as fast as the chocolate-banana one I got from here. So good

Only open in the summer, this is one of those old skool Ice Cream shops. It used to be a Diary Queen. When DQ did the modernization thing, the owners of this franchise decided that if it wasn’t broke, they weren’t going to fix it, so they opted out and went independent. Now they do a raging business 5 months out of the year. Great for hot summer nights when the sun hasn’t gone down yet and you’re looking for some ice cold delights.
