Advanced Dermatology

We visited Advanced Dermatology in Sugar Land because my son had a skin rash and they charged us $ 192 for a 10 minute visit. This was our second visit and the charge was $ 59 more than the first visit. Beware of these doctors. They can charge you whatever they want and there is nothing you can do about it. We will never be back to Advanced Dermatology in Sugar Land.

CAUTION!!! Staff is not friendly and they called to cancel my appointment minutes before I was scheduled on the same day.

** after having a not so good experience 2012 I gave Advanced Dermatology another try with a different Physician and I am very glad I did!
My experience so far has been positive. I have had 2 appointments with Dr. Duncan. Each appointment was short, sweet, and to the point. Which I DO like. I didn’t feel rushed Dr. Duncan listened to my concerns and offered flexible options.
I have also seen Dr. Harrell. I called on Monday morning and needed to get in ASAP. Dr. Harrell was able to see me that same morning. Addressed my issue and I was out the door.
On each of my 3 visits the wait was minimal. I sat in the waiting room maybe 10 minutes and in the patient room maybe waited 3 – 5 minutes. All my appts have been mid morning.
I also did consult with Kristy, an aesthetician, I found her to be very knowledgeable and friendly. She answered my questions and followed up with me on some pricing. I look forward to working with her in the near future.
I would like to see longer terms on 0% financing aesthetic packages. There is so much I want to do :)

I have a scheduled appointment and haven’t seen a doctor yet, but I gotta tell ya, after a few minutes with the appointment scheduler, I just may cancel my pending appointment!
M**ly, I believe her name is, seems to have very short patience when it comes to scheduling. I think I called her too early this morning… (8:40 am)? She told me my insurance number was wrong (I called back and confirmed that it was, in fact, correct) and literally exhaled about 5 times with every question I posed. Ooooh-​kkkkkk…
If I were a concerned physician, I would literally ensure that all my front office/​scheduling staff were TOP NOTCH to make the first point of contact an amazing one!
Many, many potential patients are lost this way.

Scheduled a procedure and requested someone to call me to answer a few questions before my scheduled date. They called me only to obtain insurance information and told me the cost of the procedure. I again told the lady on the phone that I was a little apprehensive about the procedure and would like a nurse to call me because I had a few questions. The nurse called me and answered questions but even told me that she doesn’t really know why I needed questions answered. On the day of the procedure I went in and the doctor came in and before even speaking to me started telling the techs what supplies were needed. I then started asking questions and apparently the nurse had given me completely wrong information. The procedure wouldn’t even be what I needed. I told the dr that I gave decided against the procedure and she said «I guess I’m ok with that. You wasted my time.» In no way was I trying to waste anyone’s time, especially my own. I feel like if they had given me the correct information when I called or had done accurate patient education before the scheduled date (as any prudent nurse or dr would do) this could have been avoided. Because I decided against it, they coded my visit different. That five min in the office cost me just as much or more than if I had paid out of pocket for the procedure. I am very disappointed in the professionalism of Advanced Dermatology.

This place is fantastic! I have been for both cosmetic and non-​cosmetic procedures, and can’t recommend it more highly. I even took my son to see Dr. Ali for help with a teen skincare regimen. Dr. Ali is knowledgable and takes her time to listen to my concerns. The office staff is friendly and efficient and my wait times are minimal. A big thumbs up to Kathy G as well. Highly recommended.
