I had what I thought was a minor issue with my dishwasher door. It appeared that a spring broke and the door would fall open when opened. So I called at 8 am for service. I was told they would arrive between 11 – 2 and service call is $ 55 plus parts. While they did call they were running late(exactly why I ask for a call when on the way) they arrived after 2pm. Imagine my surprise when AFTER the repair it cost $ 230. The part was $ 75(not a spring but something with a string and what looks like a pulley) plus labor, plus service call and tax. After discussing the outrageous price I was charged $ 175. I believe this could have been avoided if I was told before they they completed the repair as I had asked when called for a rough estimate. I usually renew warranties but did not this time.(Shame on me.) Will I call them again? Doubtful, but the dishwasher door is fixed. Learn from my mistake.

Stay away from this company. They quote you at $ 55 fee to come look at the problem and tell you this charge will go toward the cost of the repair. But what they don’t tell you is the charge a flat fee of $ 130 for any repair done. So, if you don’t want the repair, you’re going to pay $ 55 and if you do want the repair, you’re in it for at least $ 130 for just labor without accounting for the cost of the part. The part they charged was about 2x more than what I could have paid if I went to Sears. I should have refused to agree to the service but if I paid their $ 55 and got another repairman out, I would have to add the $ 55 to the next serviceman. In any event, don’t make the same mistake I did.
