Centennial Park

We took our son to this park last night and he had a blast! There is a toddler play section and another for older kids. The toddler playground has a play structure containing a slide and there was also a safe merry-​go-​round in which they can sit inside (no handles to hang onto though). The ground is soft in the playground areas — filled with astroturf. There are 2 separate swing areas. One with regular swings and the other for toddlers — 4 swings each. The playground for older kids contains a lot of areas for those agile climbers. There is a stainless steel balance beam nestled in there also along with the usual slides. There is also a small plastic section of activity wheels for the little ones to play with. The playground is not gated and the two different sections are separated by a good amount of space to give the different age groups their own space. Benches are placed throughout and there is also a small pavilion area with benches inside. On the other side of the park, next to the parking lot is where they hold their basketball and tennis courts. There’s a trail for runners/​walkers to follow traversing throughout the park. It’s a very nice city park in that it caters to many different age groups and interests.

Very nice park! Took my 16 month old granddaughter here and it had enough playground equipment for her age to keep her happy. They do need to put more dirt under the swings as it was a huge mud puddle day we were there. It is also not in our neighborhood but very good place for families.
