Dillard’s

My review is really probably not very fair since I was on a mission to find a pair of shoes in between appointments. I stopped in and made my way to the shoe department. The chica behind the register asked if I needed help so I told her what I wanted. She basically only suggested one pair of shoes for me, but they weren’t right for my cocktail dress. She really didn’t even want to come out from behind the register, but she did. Why you ask … well …
Surprisingly, she was wearing jeans and a somewhat dressy shirt. Never have I seen a Dillard’s employee dressed in jeans! They are almost always dressed in some sort of business suit! I need to stick to shopping in Clear Lake since the selection seems to be much better than in Pearland! I’m not sure why that is?!

Visited my first Dillard’s store last night in Pearland, TX on Broadway. It was my first (& now last) Dillard’s experience. I arrived in store about 10 mins til closing. Store was bare. I headed straight to purse section and waited around for assistance. NO ONE EVER ARRIVED. We finally heard call that store was closed but i stood steadfast next to my COACH purse which was secured to the rack. I assumed the older sales associate who was ringing customers across walkway in apparel would come to us as i kept giving her the ‘i need help, please’ eye contact & subtle head nod. But, when she was done with her last customer she stopped giving me eye contact, walked away & disappeared. A female Pinkerton secuirty guard walked by us, gave us a glance but didnt say anything although at this point we were the only customers lingering around. Then about five mins later a woman walked to COACH purse counter, looked at us, looked down & completely ignored us from that point on (although she glanced her head up a few times as we stood affixed next to purses in hand, locked to rail). Several more minutes of this passed away til i fell back on my momma’s training: ‘don’t give your money to ppl who dont want it or deserve it.’ Oh, Pinkerton guard finally wished us a good night as we walked out.

Big store that’s never been too busy when I’ve visited. Decent sales on name brands.
