Malibu Tan

I have put off writing this review due to my intense frustration with this place. It’s expensive and run by, sorry to say it but, mostly incompetent people. None of them could tell me what the difference between the beds was and what the heck «Bronzing rays» are. It honestly sounds like a bunch of made up crap.
I tried the bed with 50% UV rays and 50% Bronzing rays, I tanned the full 12 minutes and I tan very easily, especially in tanning beds. I get out, no lines whatsoever, I did not get tanned at all! Sadly I had purchased 2 sessions for this type of bed so I figure, I’ll give it another shot. Nope, same result, or lack thereof.
Okay well I’m only down $ 16 as I got a Groupon and I really should have cut my loses at this point but I opted to spent $ 30 on 50 credits and try a bed with more UV rays which is more like tanning outside. I think this one was 70% UV, I was able to do it twice with the $ 30 but the new results were incredibly minimal.
Complete waste of money and time. Just don’t even bother, even with the Groupon it was crap. The only reason I give this place 2 stars is despite the lack of tan and competency, the girls here are all very nice and friendly.

Great staff, friendly service. When I first started tanning, I went to the Shepard St. location. The staff there was courteous and efficient, great store. I now go to Broadway St, Pearland and they are even better. I have met the Regional Mgr. Hope, and the store mgr. Sam go out of their way for their clients. Their staff here maintain the standards. Excellent store, staff and company.

Facility clean. Staff courteous and helpful. Beds are good. Never a wait and you aren’t rushed. The only thing I would warn people about is DO NOT buy their lotions. I normally research anything I buy but since I signed up on the spur of the moment and wanted to start immediately, I purchased one of their best lotions. Later googled it to learn the difference between it and others and my biggest learning was you can by the same thing for far, far less of your hard earned money. We’re talking 115−125% mark up at the salon. Does it work well. Absolutely. Is it worth the price I paid. CLEARLY NOT. So word to the wise — DO NOT purchase your products through them. For the price of a membership and your business, one doesn’t expect to be ripped off on the extras.

Received a terrible burn with blisters and peeling and was told by the corporate office that the only thing they could offer me was more tanning time. No thanks!
