The Enclave At Mary’s Creek Apts

I live at Enclave at Mary’s Creek in Pearland Tx. I moved in with my boyfriend here in April. For a month this summer, the management here couldn’t get the dumpsters emptied so trash piled up and festered. The entire complex smelled horrible. Then they had my boyfriend’s car towed for no reason as he LIVED HERE and had his tag in full view. There’s $ 250 we will never get back. NOW best of all, since he changed his address due to taking a job overseas even though I TOOK OVER the lease they took my name out of out the mailbox even though this is my LEGAL address and thus I haven’t been receiving mail since he moved two weeks ago. Which includes, bills, paychecks, my birthday presents. One of your staff members also lied to my face today when I asked why a red slip with the apartment’s logo was in my box instructing the post office to NOT deliver mail because my apparent is apparently vacant. Next thing you know they’ll be renting it out from underneath me.

Highly unethical — I work away from my home and often have to rent an apartment. I called ahead to this location and worked out all the details INCLUDING what it would cost to break the lease. That was a huge deal to me in case my project was shut down or ended early. I was quoted that I would be a little over $ 1800. When I arrived at the office (and had no where else to go) they went up to over $ 3400. I had to take it but it really cast a dark cloud over the whole experience. :(
A minor secondary thing is that they have what I call ‘hidden costs’ for things that we always got for free (or included in your rent).
I asked about the higher amount and they shortened my lease to 10 months. I do appreciate that but I still was tricked. This is a beautiful property with very nice people working here — and I recommend you avoid it.
