The School Zone

If I could give no stars I would. Please, do not choose this for your child. I was fooled by the lack of violations and thought that this daycare would be a great for myself and my child. Unfortunately that was not the case. They completely lack any kind of communication, different staff are in and out of the room every day. I rarely saw the same person twice. Because of the flip flopping of staff, important things, such as feeding schedules are not communicated. My child was fed anywhere from every three to every two hours with disregard to the feeding schedule I filled out that clearly states my child was to be fed every 4 hours. My child was not ever put to sleep in a crib, but remained in a swing for the entirety of the day. Unfortunately there are a few members of management that seem to care and have good intentions but the staff is just not there at all. I’m not that parent that overreacts and thinks my kid is the only kid in the room and that my kid will never have an accident, I understand things happen, but I do expect to be notified when something does happen to my kid, i do expect to pick up my kid in the condition in which I brought them and I do expect to have my child returned to me with a clean bottom and a clean face. I’ve worked in childcare, I understand procedures and their purpose. I understand the busy bustle of taking care of a classroom of children, which is why I can identify when a situation is handled poorly. Unfortunately poorly handled decisions is what I experienced while my child attended here. The classroom sizes are too large for what the staff can handle. And I absolutely feel my child was overlooked, belongings were lost and not one child’s nose in that room was ever wiped clean (including mine upon every single pick up). I chose to remove my child from this facility because I did not feel that our needs were met, not once. This is completely my experience and perhaps not the case for others. But if I had to help anyone choose, this would never ever be the childcare facility I would pick.

This is by for the worst childcare facility that I have even had my three children in. The teachers were very nice, but the management is terrible. They endangered my children and when I brought up my concerns, made excuses for their behavior instead of apologizing. They definitely don’t have an open door policy either. I visited my children during my lunch hour while they were on a field trip and the next day I was told that my children were no longer welcome because my presence at the field trip made the workers uncomfortable. I was so stunned that I didn’t even know what to say. I was extremely nice to everyone on the field trip and I truly believe that the owner and her daughter just wanted me gone because I had made a complaint about the treatment of my children. I am writing this review so that other parents don’t have to go through the pain and humiliation that I went through. So happy to be gone from there. There are so many better daycares in the area!

I feel like I should leave a positive review, especially in light of the negative reviews posted here. I have had 3 of my children enrolled here since Sept. 2014 and it has largely been a positive experience. My oldest is in the PreK program and Ms. Gina is awesome! My twins are each in separate classrooms with Ms. Deena and Ms. Amanda and both are fantastic with the boys. All 3 enjoy their teachers and have made friends while there. They have learned a lot and the teachers and staff always do their best to accommodate changes (ie — potty training and other adjustments). Yes, there were a few staff changes but they worked quickly to correct any problematic teachers, and those teachers are no longer there.
Also there was a time when we had a flat tire, and Ms. Kara (in the office) went the extra mile and sent a bus over to our house to pick up the kids and called a tow truck. Again, this was great service and I appreciated it very much. Their rates are more affordable than a lot of the local daycares and I shopped around before enrolling them.
As a parent, if you are looking for a safe, loving environment for your kids, and one that is affordable, this school is a good fit.

This is not a good place. There is extremely high turnover, and the children suffer for lack of consistency in the classroom.
