Best diner ever! Honestly when I imagine a diner this is what comes to mind. Ultra clean, everything on the menu you could possibly dream of, all the baking is done there. We had a group of 6 and all of us loved our food. They have all day breakfast but also tons of other food choices. We didn’t get dessert but the pies looked incredible. I’d say this is a best kept secret! Adorable and delicious.

We decided to try out this diner right before we hit the highway to go back home after a day at the park. The exterior looks very nice as well as the interior. It’s very clean and has that vintage diner look that most diners have but without overdoing it. I tried the Grilled Cheese with tomato and milk. Thought it was incredibly good, but its kind of hard to go wrong with a grilled cheese. Also tried the breaded shrimp w/FF, and it was also pretty good. Decent food. Service wasn’t so great. It was a Sunday night and barely any people and the waitress still took her time with our orders, drinks, and food. The waitress seated us and told us she would bring us some water and came a WHILE later to give us our waters. Also had to ask twice for my other drink. Overall, place is decent, service could definitely be better, especially if the place isn’t busy.

First time visit to Westchester Diner. Full on a Sunday morning but did not have to wait. Service was highly organized. Staff readily moved around tables to accommodate larger family groups. Clean appearance. Kid friendly. Enjoyed a veggie omelet, and a Westchester Breakfast Platter of buttermilk pancakes with fried eggs and breakfast meats. See pics. Maple Syrup also offered for uplift charge. Fresh orange juice juiced to order. Would highly recommend the Buttermilk Pancakes. Good value overall. Quality coffee served in those ubiquitous diner coffee mugs that could survive a nuclear attack… and also keeps your coffee warm. Plentiful refills. Would return and not just for breakfast. Useful Reminder: Open 24 hours daily.

Veggie omelet with hard undercooked veggies and KRAFT«cheese». Cold inside. I ate most of it only because I just finished a 3hr hike. Side of hash, hard, dry and completely cold. $ 3.45 side of hard avocado(they wouldn’t take it off the check, even thought it wasn’t eaten). Club sandwich, we left ¾ of it because it was just bad. Cob salad was good, eggs Benedict ok, again with cold hash. Our server was very nice. The person at the cash register and the woman working around there, need to learn how to work with customers. I’m ok with mistakes but when you voice the problems to help the company solve them next time and they diss you, that’s when you know it’s not worth it!) Just don’t waste your money or time.

I think the key to liking this place is sticking to the script. Meaning = get diner food at a diner. My daughter had an egg with hash browns and I had the Pasta with broccoli. The hash browns were a bit bland but its hard to completely mess up fried food. The pasta on the other hand was the void of all taste. I would have thought it impossible to make food THIS tasteless. Being that they charge what most Italian restaurants charge for this dish you question why the hell you’re at the diner eating crap food. Lesson learned. Craving fried food = Diner. Real food = Restaurant

We took our grandmother there for brunch. Food was mediocre and the waitress was grumpy. Maybe she was having a bad day? When we asked for an omelette to be made into a scramble she said they will, «if the can.» Evidently stirring eggs it too difficult. After our subpar meal we ordered a malt from the dessert menu that had a clearly labeled section for Shakes and Malts and the waitress said they don’t make them. We won’t be going back.

Omfg I’m beyond words. I currently lie somewhat in a daze by the glorious meal that just befell me and it just kept giving. We got grilled cheeses w tomato and avocado. I don’t exaggerate when I say that three different tasters were left speechless. The fries were nice and we finished it off with a true pirouette… A strawberry Oreo milkshake. What Westchester Diner did to us tonight was better than climax. Thank you!

About a year ago, there was a fly in my salad. NOJOKE. They gave it to me like this. Ever since then, I was skeptical to go here, but then after a while, the service was nice, and the food got better. I’ve been going here more periodically now and the front desk people know me and my group, very nice guy. Nice waiters and waitresses, good place to go.

Greek diners need to carry and use good olive oil. Just a tip to get things improvin… Sides are huge, keep that in mind when ordering

Food was pretty good. Usually is. But this time the place just smelt weird. And the waitress with short hair from the Bronx Kindve sucked. Didn’t even check on us once. No bueno.

We had a nice lunch here, I ordered a really good chicken quiche that had roasted red peppers in, and was served with a nice little salad on the side. Very tasty and good value!

Nothing bad, but nothing special — except that they are GROSSLYOVERPRICED! This seems to be the new trend with diners in Westchester, and its a damn shame.

I’ve been to other diners in the area but I make a point to come to this one. Service is always more than decent, never too crowded, food is typical for diner but still edible and great, and like they should be – open late! Compared to other local diners(Mohegan and New City) this place is friendlier and prices are average, with food being on the better end of the scale. Obviously I do not recommend that anyone order chicken parm or steak b/c hello… it’s a diner! The apps, fried goodies, pseudo-mexican and breakfast foods are always a good go-to. Love the fact that I can pull up here with friends late night and they don’t mind us ordering a few more beers and laughing our asses off at nothing. What a diner should be, nothing crazy, just what’s expected and with good service

Honestly, I never knew how good I had it with the good ol’ Westchester Diner until I went somewhere else. «Why do this diner’s chicken fingers taste like deep fried nothing?» «WTF is with this „cheeseburger“??» «Why doesn’t anyone understand how an ice cream sundae should be made?» All these unanswered questions because the Westchester Diner is everything a diner should be. It’s a real town establishment. You can’t walk in there without recognizing at least one person, even if it’s just the same waitress/busboy that has been taking care of you for the last ten years. At some point the softball/baseball/volleyball team will walk in and order massive amounts of fries, and at around 1am the underage drinkers wander in to satisfy a late-night craving. Their ice cream sundaes aren’t groundbreaking or gourmet but they use that vanilla ice cream(you know, THAT one… the one that’s kinda yellowish) and have just a really nice ratio of whipped cream and sprinkles. It’s just your basic diner, until you try to replicate the experience of a lovely omelette and decent homefries somewhere else… it’s just not the same!

I have been patronizing The Westchester Diner for about 10 years now. I am not sure how I have not reviewed it before! It is always reliable, clean and tasty with nice people working there. Another bonus is that they are open 24⁄7 so if you get a hankering for rice pudding or cherry pie in the middle of the night…
