Critter Cleaners Pekin

I called to make my dogs first appointment for grooming. I told the lady that she is 28 lbs and wanted to know how much it would be. She has not matted and gets groomed every six weeks. The lady told me it would be $ 35. She handed the phone to another lady who i explained the whole situation again and asked the second lady what time i should bring my pet in. She said that she is the one who gives the baths and she comes in at 8:00am so that would be a good time. We made an appointment and took our dog in for grooming at 8:00. At 12:30 we hadnt heard any word saying she was done so we stopped in. We were told that she hadnt even been started yet and was told that they would CALL when she was done. A little after 2:00 we were called. When we got there we were charged $ 50! We paid it without saying anything (and even gave a tip). Today i called to verify that the $ 50 was correct and if not i wanted to make an appointment. The lady was very rude and pulled her card. She said that my dog is a BIG dog so it will always be $ 50! I told her i have a friend with the exact same breed weighing the same and he is only charged $ 35. She again, said my dog is big and will always be $ 50. Obviously we wont be back for two reasons: 1) we dont have a big dog. Since when is 28 lbs a big dog? And 2) she was so rude to me on the phone, i cant even imagine how she treats the dogs when they are dropped off for 6 hours!!!
***on a good note my dog was groomed nicely and we were happy with that. The only reason we needed a new groomer is our former groomer has moved out of state.
