Shore Park

I found this park randomly after leaving City Island and driving down Shore Road. After we glanced at it for a second or two we decided to pull over and take a stroll. We were in no particular rush to go anywhere.
The lawn is quite nice and you can see some boats sailing along the waterfront. Dogs are allowed but must be leashed. If you walk all the way to the end of the park you will see what looks like a house docked on a tony little island not far ahead in the water. It looks really peculiar. You are allowed to barbecue here and there’s several picnic tables all along Shore Park Trail. While it’s not a large park it is still quite nice with a great view. There is also a small area with a swing, jungle gym etc. One of the swings is in desperate need of some oil. It makes a really annoying sound from friction. Other than that the park is pretty peaceful and quiet. There’s also a free parking lot that can accomidate around 20 or so cars.
