Corner Bakery Cafe

My first visit to Corner Bakery Café was when I accompanied a friend to get something to eat. The restaurant, which offers a variety of breakfast, lunch, and dinner dishes for under $ 10; had a relaxing, casual feel to it. Plenty of table seating and the employees are very pleasant. My friend and I ordered the Panini combo. The combo comes with your choice of salad, mac & cheese, or cup of soup. My friend had the chicken pomodori with classic Caesar and I also had the chicken pomodori, but with mac & cheese. We also ordered a baby bundt cake and a chocolate chip cookie.
When we received the food, it looked really good. It was my first time eating a Panini, but rest assured, it will not be my last. That chicken pomodori was DE-​LI-​CIOUS! The flavors of the chicken, fresh basil, spinach, oven-​roasted tomatoes, and provolone cheese with pesto mayo really complemented each other. I could eat two of them, and the mac & cheese… it was hella good! Al dente macaroni covered in delicious cheese and bacon bits… mmm-​mmm. The Caesar salad was freshly prepared, the baby bundt cake was moist and chocolatey, and the chocolate chip cookie was soft baked. Will definitely be coming back here again.

I learned about this place after they catered a lunch to my office. All the ingredients are fresh and clean and the variety of sandwiches and salads is very creative and unique. They have 5 locations in Florida, one being in Tampa.

Just ok. Some of the soups are decent. The baked goods are safe. Otherwise very disappointed in the breakfast and lunch that I had there.

2 stars, We came early and everything was fine. Food was good. After an hour it got busy, my mom and sister ordered breakfast which took over 20 minutes. Plates were dirty, coffee was cold. Worst of all, a hair on mom’s plate. Took plate to manager, not even an apology.

Great spot for breakfast with the family. They have a variety of items to choose from on the menu. They have baked goods, paninis, scramblers, and pancakes. I haven’t tried out this restaurant for lunch or dinner, but awesome for breakfast.

Food here is great! Love eating my sandwich during lunch it was so delicious! Other than that I highly recommend coming here to eat!

I’ve come to study and eat here, and it’s great. It’s like a Panera/​Starbucks hybrid but better. The environment is nice with modern booths, tables, and proper lighting for working or hanging out. I don’t know why people don’t come here more often. If you pass by I recommend the deserts and the pasta. ¹⁰⁄₁₀ if you are looking for a quiet place to study that’s not too crowded this is the place.

I’ve been to this location plenty of times and have not been disappointed with the quality of food or service

The service and food in this place is getying worst and worst, the quality of their food is terribble, rotten avocados, over tosted bread, unfresh fruits, and I dont understand what is all about these litle mosquitoes all over the restaurant? You can’t eat confortable!

This place opens at 6:30 am so if you need breakfast before work, this is your spot. The first time I stopped in, I only ordered pancakes and coffee because the accompaniments were eggs and meat which I don’t eat. I mentioned to the manager that I don’t eat meat so he threw in a sample of a warm sandwich with avocado and spinach. It was small and just a sample but it was a GREAT GESTURE and it tasted fantastic! I’ve been wanting to go back and order that same sandwich but time hasn’t been on my side. Today my hubby and I made it in for lunch though. I ordered the Grilled Tomato Basil sandwich and Tomato soup special. It was really good. I wish they had pressed that sandwich for just a little while longer though because the inside was cold but it’s okay, I still enjoyed it. The soup was outstanding. The combo came with a side of either carrots or chips and a pickle. I ate everything (except the chips). We plan to return more often for lunch. The place was nice and clean and the staff was very polite. My hubby had the chicken pomodoro panini and he loved it. Since it’s close to home, we may make this a regular little lunch spot when we don’t want to spend a lot but want fresh healthy options.

If you ever go to the Corner Bakery café and order their Anaheim Scrambler, you’ll see why I prefer this spot to other places like Panera or Starbucks. The Anaheim scrambler consists of fluffy scrambled eggs, tomatoes, bacon, cheese, green onions, and AVOCADO– yes, avocado (gives this an extra yum factor). This is my new favorite breakfast item and I’m looking forward to recreating it at home. On the side, the scrambler came with harvest toast (hearty and good) and either oven roasted potatoes or fruit, I chose the fruit and was not disappointed.
To drink, I grabbed a chai latte. I am very picky about chai lattes, I have only found one spot where they make them perfectly (all the way in Hawaii)… Corner bakery makes it pretty damn good! Smooth and just the write amount of spice.

Whatever happened to service and attention to the customer. This is the second consecutive time at this location that the service has been so slow and silent. Silent meaning that when we finally get our food the server says nothing, no smile, no ‘sorry for the wait’, no nothing. The breakfast this morning was subpar. The pancakes were rubbery, syrup was cold and the bacon was barley done. And we waited almost an hour for that. Woo Hoo! Management should be better prepared for specific busy times in order to keep up. It’s not rocket science.

Was in the area with my son and we were starving. Enjoyed this place a lot, has a little bit of a Panera Bread feel more homey. Very clean, and the staff was very friendly. Seeing it was my first time there I asked the person behind the counter a lot of questions and she was more than eager to answer them. Ordered a delicious butternut squash soup, the mac & cheese, and a chocolate Bundt cake. I was very impressed — I even wanted another cup of the soup. Will definitely head over to the location in Boca which is closer to me!

I recently was around the area and decided to stop in and get lunch to go. I loved the feel of the place. It was clean, charming and inviting. The pictures on the wall if you haven’t noticed, are of places around the area. I thought that was a nice local touch.
I’m not sure why another reviewer thought the menu was overwhelming, it was my first time there and although I’m usually shy and feel rushed, I was able to figure out the menu. I decided to go for the combo, the tomato mozzarella sandwich and lemon orzo soup. It came out quick and was great.
I later brought my boyfriend to try the place for a quick dinner. He had a bowl of chili which he loved and a strawberry banana smoothie. He said it was the best smoothie he’s ever had. I have to agree it was great. I had the half moon ravioli with a salad. The salad was great, I am not sure the dressing they use but it was tasty, a bit of a kick to it too. The ravioli was pretty good. I’ve had better but it was better than I expected for a place like that. (More about the sandwiches and bakery items). I tried the teas which were pretty tasty. I usually like them sweetened but they had such great flavor it was fine without sugar. The hibiscus tea is really interesting. My boyfriend thought it tasted like bath and body works but I thought it was pretty good and had a sweet taste without being sweetened.
We didn’t get to try any of the desserts although the look amazing. We hope to come back soon!!!

I am a fan of their Avocado & Spinach Power Flat. Sometimes they walk around with samples of their bundt cakes and the chocolate one is pretty rich. Their oatmeal is tiny for the price though and they charge extra for every individual topping, literally every topping. It is nice for a quick breakfast though. I haven’t gone one Sunday morning where I’ve waited more than 5 minutes to order and 10 minutes to receive my takeout order. I want to try other items on their menu but I can’t because they put calories on every single thing, it’s breakfast torture. If you join their email club you do get a free cookie though.

Ducked in for a meeting and it was a fine time. I enjoyed coffee, a delicious, fruity and fresh smoothie, and steel cut oatmeal and the oatmeal was a hit! See photos.
I was super impressed. I eat a lot of oatmeal, and steel cut is purportedly the best and most healthy. It certainly has a more rustic and robust consistency than it’s processed, powdered, just-​add-​water stand-​in, «Instant Oatmeal.»
In addition to being steel-​cut, the oat-​meal included thinly sliced almonds, delicious and large raisins, and some heavy-​grain brown sugar. This dish is, clearly, made with care and pride. And the plate included some side toast. Nice touch, good job!
What a refreshing, new brand, and I am happy this place was chosen as our meeting spot. I will be back.
Roomy, clean, and quiet enough to have a meeting, unlike your typical, over-​loud and crowded, over-​priced, we-​have-​our-​own-​language coffee store.

I ordered a half sandwich and salad for lunch. I got the tuna on wheat, toasted with a Caesar salad.
It actually took a very long time … I waited at least 10 mins. I mean it’s a sandwich and a salad … Can’t be that complicated.
The tuna on wheat … Honestly I make better tuna sandwiches at home (seriously). I asked for it toasted and they toasted the entire sandwich, which might not have been awful IF the tuna didn’t have tomato and cucumber on it. So basically it was soggy and pretty gross.
The tuna was nothing special and because of the soggy veggies I actually didn’t eat half (of my half).
The Caesar salad … It was bagged lettuce, and not even the pretty kind and a generic Caesar dressing. They didn’t even sprinkle cheese or have the nice brown croutons. It was boring, tasteless, and disappointing.
The service was nothing special … The lady who took the order was nice. The food runner was … Um … Different. Absolutely no personality. Kinda seemed out of it actually.
The chocolate chip cookie was ok — deff not worth going back for.
I’ve read reviews on here saying this place is comparable to Panera … Now I’m no Panera «fanatic» but this is in no way comparable to Panera. Panera is by far better (sorry).
Not sure if Id come here again; wasn’t worth my $ 9 lunch.

I really enjoyed eating at this place! It reminds me of a upscale Panera with a similar but different selection of foods. All the baked goods looked amazing, but sadly I had no room after my sandwich. The sandwiches are super fresh to made and come with a side and a pickle! I got the chicken sandwich on ciabatta, it was packed with stuff and really really good. The menu has something for everyone on it and they even have a Sriracha chili which looked amazing!
Tip: If you’re going to get takeout I recommend ordering online. So much faster!

Whether it’s breakfast, lunch or dinner, Corner Bakery always delivers on great food.
My first experience with this place was the Club Panini. By far, the best sandwich I’ve had in a long time. Toasted, melted cheese with the usual meats you’d expect for a club sandwich. The best!!!
