Gunn Appliance Service

This is by far the worst appliance service center and I would NEVER call them for anything. They are extremely unprofessional and know little to nothing about servicing appliance.

This guy is a rip off artist. Had him «diagnose» my refridgerar problem. showed up, defrosted the freezer side (GEprofile). Said I had a bad defroster unit. Said you can do it yourself and pay $ 45 for the service call) or «I can do it for you». $ 270 cash. Asked him how much the part costs? Says, «I have no idea, they stock my truck for me.» I say, go ahead. pay him. Find out the «unit» is a bulb that costs 7 dollars on amazon. Call to complain. He says, «everyone does it around here»
Total scumbag, BS artist. Avoid this guy like the plague. This guy should be hung by his heels.

Didn’t read the reviewers before I called them. Thank goodness. They came out same day fixed my washer, had two issues not just one, no extras charge. Fast, courteous, very professional. I would use them everytime. Price fair and much better that SEARS, plus same day service. 90 day guarantee.

All I can say is I am exhausted after my multiple conversations with this company today. The prior reviews confirmed my gut feeling that keeping my appointment is not a good idea. I wanted to schedule a time to fix my appliance and thought maybe Mr. Gunn was just having a bad day, so I gave him a second chance… even after his volatile behavior, yelling at me and hanging up on me. I’m not sure what is going on but I don’t feel comfortable or safe doing business. Shame on Service Protection Advantage for not vetting the companies they refer.

Not only was this service company awful, incompetent and nasty, but when I filed my complaint with angieslist, they responded with BOLD FACED lies. Not a single thing they said was truthful. The first service was NOT about fiber optic, ‘scott’ replaced the entire icemaker. Then a few months later, after he replaced the entire unit again he knew something was still wrong because it wouldn’t fill. He said to give it a few days but ‘thought’ it was the fiber optic and probably was the problem from the start. This was a Friday afternoon. The ‘complaint’ call was made on a Monday evening about 5:30 NOT a Sunday night at 9. The dispatcher never offered to take a message, she just told me she couldn’t be bothered and i had to call in the morning. I called ‘scott’ because he had given me his number, NOT to ask for a service call, but to ask for a refund, because as he knew when he first installed the fiber optic, the ice maker still did not fill. He installed the fiber optic on a Friday, and I waited until Monday evening to call, because I would never call a merchant on a Sunday.
They claim they called the police… haha that is laughable, if anyone’s behavior was outrageous, it was Scott, because when I asked for a refund he screamed at me so loudly and went on and on, (I held the phone out for my husband to listen), that he became completely hoarse and couldn’t speak.
These people, from the owner on down to the dispatcher are just lying low lives. They will make up outrageous tales and sign sworn statements
By the way, I had the icemaker fixed by a professional serviceman who said Gunn Appliance doesn’t know what they are doing. (He also charged me ¹⁄₃ of what Gunn charged) Gunn claims they hire ‘factory trained technicians’ when they hire complete losers.
Another thing is when he replaced the icemaker for the second time, he informed me that he SOLD MY OLD ONE TO AN UNSUSPECTING CUSTOMER AS NEW. It was in my freezer for 5 months, and he sold it as NEW. CHEATS & LIARS
You really should stay far away from this terrible business, unless you like to be treated like garbage and ripped off.

Terrible service, we hired gunn appliance to fix our dishwasher, not only they didn’t diagnose the problem properly but also advised us to buy new dishwasher. After buying new dishwasher it still didn’t work! We had to hire another company that diagnosed and fixed the problem. Our old dishwasher was just fine, but because of Gunn appliance we pay extra for new dishwasher and second service to another company. Save your money and don’t use them!

This business has the absolute rudest customer service and very poor communication. The actual performance is poor and definitely not worth the hassle of speaking to them, especially if you are a woman, which they do not prefer.
