Heard about the Institute of Health Services from fellow Unilocaler Wendy M. who has been going here for awhile. When I saw they had a Groupon for laser hair removal I bought it and made my appointment. I just finished with my underarms and could not be happier. The technician is amazing. So sweet and friendly and makes you comfortable, explaining everything before your session. Their prices are really good compared to other places my friends have gone to. I’m planning on starting a new session on another area after the first of the year.

I started coming here after purchasing a Groupon to have Lazer hair removal. It’s been almost two years and I keep finding new places to get rid of hair permanently. The staff is super friendly and the prices are very fair. I love that I don’t have to shave my armpits anymore. On to the next body part. Lol. They even offer numbing cream at no extra cost. I usually arrive 30 minutes before my appointment so I can use it. Other than the wait that I choose, there is never a longer wait than just a couple of minutes.

This place is A-​OK. I realize that this location also offers laser hair removal and things like that, but I actually go to the Institute Of Health Services for Dr. Lakhani.
Dr. Lakhani has been my PCP for years. I’m also very acquainted with all his secretaries, the old and new ones, and I seriously love them. I’m always happy to see them as they’re all very friendly, courteous and welcoming. You can tell they like doing what they do. Dr. Lakhani himself is very knowledgeable, professional and has taken care of me numerous times as I’m a magnet for health problems. I trust him fully and highly recommend his family physician services to anyone.
The wait time, even if you do make an appointment, is quite lengthy. To be honest, he does spend quite a long time with a patient. He’s very thorough, wants to do things step by step and that’s how a doctor should be, in my opinion. I don’t ever feel like I’m rushed or that there’s procedures being skipped over while I’m there. If this sounds like the doctor for you, then give him a try!

This place was wasn’t worth the Groupon that I bought. When I first purchased the Groupon, I tried to get my friend to also come with me. She was smarter than me because she read the poor reviews from Unilocal and refused. It was too late for me by then, so I just went ahead. I should have read the reviews BEFORE selecting this place. Customer service was great at first, down hill after that. One treatment ended with the technician walking out the room and not even telling me she was done. I waited alone for about 10 minutes until I had to go look for her only to have her tell me, «on yeah, you’re done.» They moved from a grimy-​looking office to a better one, but same poor service (except for a pleasant Asian woman, who was on maternity leave for most of my treatments.)
As far as the results… let’s just say that after six sessions, I’m still on the look out for a good laser treatment center. I told them I only saw about 30% improvement and was told at my last appointment, «as long as you’re seeing some improvement… that’s good enough.» I feel cheated. I could NOT recommend this place to anyone.
I have had laser treatment before some where else, but unfortunately they closed. Although I was not as consistent with my treatments as I was here, I found results with my original treatment facility to be much better and longer lasting. Again, I really feel that I wasted time, money and patience by getting treatments here.
