I decided to make my own costume for Halloween this year and went to Jo-Ann’s for everything! I had gone there about 4 times in one week! And each time they were exceptional with customer service and very helpful with all the pestering questions I had. I will definitely be back.

Nice and really friendly customer service. Place is very organized and clean. I got help right away as soon as i asked for a help. They gave me a lot of option to pick until fitting your need. Nice place to go buying homemade stuffs.

I’m An Employee At This Joanns And Have To Agree With Some Of What The Customers Are Saying. The Wait Is Due To The Lack Of Cashier’s We Have And That’s Because Our Superior Believes We Only Need One For The Amount Of People In The Store. I Don’t Agree With The Way Things Are Being Handled And Don’t See Myself Staying With This Company Much Longer.

I’m a huge Joann shopper, but this location isn’t really the best I’ve been to. The wait times are pretty long when they don’t necessarily have to be(regular non sale day, for example, or just understaffed sometimes), and the bathroom is a nightmare. The door on the non handicapped stall is so close to the toilet, it almost touches it. Not to mention it really needs to be cleaned more. As far as selection, it’s more or less on par with other locations.

So, Picture this, Saturday 2:30pm every woman in Pembroke Pines is trying to get her fabrics cut at the cutting counter. So let’s not even consider the 30 minutes wait… as it was noticeably one of their busiest days. I finally approach the counter and meet with Mrs. mean face. — You know that feeling when you can almost smell somebody’s bad attitude? — Anyway, i briefly asked that i wanted a total of 3 yds of the fabric cut into 4 equal pieces. The attendant wasn’t understanding, even after i explained it 3 times– So she started getting an irritated tone on her voice. Then she tells me she can do it but that i cant use a coupon. Ok…(I wasnt planning on using one anyway). So before she starts cutting the fabric she moves everything that was on the table -(including a cookbook that i had picked up and was going to purchase — out of the way in an abrubt and rude manner… again. i saw this coming… Then as she starts cutting the fabric, i notice that she is cutting one yard, then the next… So I tell her to stop. I ask her again, please can you just cut 3 yards off. And then just measure the total and separated into 4 equal parts. To this she answered«I cant do that… we don’t do that here». So whatever… the fact that WALMART was able to do this and this so called specialized place in fabrics can’t? Anywho, in the end I went home empty handed, as after the attendant had cut off that yard separately, there wasn’t enough fabric for what i needed. I left the cookbook behind, as i cared not to stay in this place any longer. In summary: a) I loved Jo-Ann fabrics until this moment. b) I can deal with slowness well. not rudeness c) People with bad temperaments have no business in customer service
