V & Mi Nails Spa and Eyebrow Threading

Have come here multiple times because it is cost efficient on the weekdays. Today I come in for a gel polish removal and I’ve been waiting over 25 minutes to be helped and the employees are taking other people before me that have walked in later. I’m sitting here watching 3 employees snickering back and forth in foreign language as it seems they are arguing about who wants to take me due to it being such a small cost job. This has been the worst customer service experience I have ever dealt with and I will not be coming back in.

This is my 2^nd time here and today will be my last time here. I went in for refills the sign states «refills 17.99″. I wanted 2 colors teal and brown for ovarian cancer awareness month. I brought pictures. She stated it would be $ 23.00 because of the two colors. So she proceeded and started off painting nails backwards of the picture I brought. I corrected her and showed her the picture again. She still did it backwards. By now I am pissed!!. I stop her again and I said „OK lets make this easy– look at this picture again– can you do this?“ She says „yes I can do it — it will be $ 30.00″ I said $ 30.00 why“. She said you get better color and I wont charge you to cut down .» So now fully disgusted and half my nails done. I let her finish. She still did the two colors wrong after showing it to her 3 times. I wanted a teal ribbon drawn on my ring finger! she put scribbles on my 3^rd finger. Looks horrible !! When she checked me out she charged me $ 35.00. No manager around to talk to. He was there when I came in but mysteriously disappeared when I checked out. Did not want to create a scene in front of everyone. But I will be calling the manager tomorrow!!!

This review is based on a early morning (around 10:30 A.M.) pedicure experience. I went in for a pedicure and had an overall good experience. Here’s a few things that I noticed while I was there:
1. They used all of the proper tools needed when giving someone a pedicure. The tools that were used came out of a fresh sealed package. I make a point to look for these things when I go to a salon.
2. They had a relaxing and clean environment. The salon was well decorated and welcoming. The foot basin was clean and the water was at a good temperature. I thoroughly enjoyed the back massage that I received while sitting in the chair. There was a time when I almost feel asleep because I was so relaxed.
3. The person who assisted me made a point to make sure that I was comfortable and happy with the service. I received a really good foot massage and pedicure while I was there. I’m actually looking forward to coming back.

One star. This place is filthy. Gnats everywhere. Quoted one price charged something different.

Disaster. They must just hire their friends and family. Not professionals.
First off, didnt see an autoclave. Didnt see barbicide. Didnt see sanitized tools. Place had boxes of nail supplies on the floor and empty food and drink containers out in the open.
But against my better judgement, i decided to stay.
This girl couldnt have been older than me. She has pale skin with pink undertones and a scar on her chin. Doesnt know not one word of English and doesnt know how to count American money. She has some sharp nails and was digging into my finger pads the whole time. I thought «ow!» was a universal language.
She starts automatically filing my nails, completely forgetting to soak my hands in water. Theres a bowl of water sitting on the end of the table. She files all of my nails (horribly btw) then realizes the mistake. So my hand is soaking in cold water while she is half heartedly scraping my nails with the cuticle pusher. She didn’t even push my cuticles. So i told her to do it again. She then grabbed the nippers and clipped my cuticles. She didnt cut me, thank God. But she left plenty of skin hanging. Told her to clean it up along with the wonky nail file job.
She massaged my hand with lotion (and her sharp ass nails) and then took a hot wet towel and completely dried out my hands. Like tight skin and everything. So i put more lotion on my hands. She looked so offended.
She tried to paint my nails afterward. Like… no alcohol? You dont know that nails are oily? So i told her (through this lady who has been translating the entire time) to get alcohol on my nails to dehydrate them. She got a cotton woll (bad idea) and wiped them down. Then she takes her hands and wipes my nails down with them. Um… the reason for the alcohol was to get oil off my nails and you put more on it…
Do it again, no cotton plz. So she did. With more cotton woll!
She also spent plenty of time pulling off the strands of cotton with her sharp ass nails. Because i told her to do it with her nails not with her finger pads.
The polish job looks like crap. Utter crap. The polish pooled at my cuticles, she had polish on my skin and the top coat looks sooooo bad. Its half on the nails.
Clean up the cuticles plz. She had such a bad attitude. Well i wouldn’t be telling you to fix everything if you weren jacking it all up.
Not to mention the fact that she was talking mad trash in Vietnamese (i do understand it! Part Vietnamese here!) about how I need to get out of her chair because i dont know what im talking about. And the guy who i guess is the manager was laughing and talking trash right back.
And THEN i had given her a twenty to pay the $ 12. She gives me back $ 6 in change. I say ‘no the change is $ 8″ so the translator had to tell her to give more money. I had to go back to sesame street and do «1,2,3 count with me» and show her what that looks like.
As i got up the manager condescendingly called «bye byeeee see you tomorrow!»
Whoooo they are rude, disrespectful, with apparently no home training. And there needs to be an inspector there because i didnt see ONE cosmetology license on display.
Dont go. Dont even think about going.

This is a very clean and professional nail salon. The attendants are very good at what they do and they listen to what you want. Very friendly and great service!
