I am a huge Waffle House fan and when ever I am near by on business or traveling thru I make a pit stop at this location because its the closest to my home 30 minutes .Four star’s for this WH because the staff is friendly, the service is great and the food is always served up fast, hot and tasty. Ok maybe need to work a little on the sticky menus, clean the windows and tidy the restroom a little more often. A big plus the food prep area and seating and dining tables seem to be clean and neat each time I have visited this greasy spoon I can’t seem to resist when in the area. Try it its worth an eat !

Food and service, five stars. Ok, it’s a diner. I expect it to be a diner atmosphere. But I also expect clean floors. I also expected to see a changing table of some sort, but there’s not even a countertop. So that brought it down to three stars. For what it’s worth, the cooking area is clean except the floor. The coffee came out quickly, got refilled regularly, and tasted great. Our server smiled whenever she checked on us. The food is diner style, but tasty and filling.

Understand what Waffle House represents — an informal diner for quick and inexpensive meals. Building — clean. Team — not fake friendly — homey folks who work for a wage and tips and who care. Caring is somewhat rare today and therefore appreciated. I chuckled when I overheard a customer ask sarcastically if they served turkey bacon — they do not. The House is for filling you not slimming you. You can eat right or close if you try but I would argue this is a place to feast on an old style breakfast. Eggs ordered scrambled firm — I got what I ordered. Country ham — they have it. Waffles — the place is named Waffle House — and they bake it into their signature dish. Visit and order a waffle and you will understand. Why did I write a review — I like to see Hoosiers working hard and people in the service industry understanding that service is key. Well done.

We’ve been here only about 3 or 4 times. If you get there when the smoke isn’t too thick, the food tastes really good. Otherwise, be prepared to have tobacco on your palate for the rest of the day.

Best waffle house I have ever been to. You need to get the male cook though. The women are great«sales associates» but not good on the grill. Very clean facility.

I don’t know how I did it, but I dropped $ 26 for two last weekend. I had something with Texas in the name, an order of scattered, smothered, and covered, and a B&G. We lied to the portly waitress about being Canadian and ended up waxing poetic about socialized health care to the linecooks. Still, a buck’ll get you six on the juke, and as opposed to the Anderson store, you can actually hear your tunes. Unfortunately, they don’t have«Special Lady at the Plasma Center,» and thusly, lose a star.

Good God In Heaven! I am still in a food coma nearly 14 hours after my pilgrimage to the mecca of hash brown/waffle heaven. This is one of the closest Waffle Houses to Chicago. It is a mere 182 miles away. Since Lara and i were going to be in La Porte Indiana anyway what was a few extra miles(160 to be exact) to fill our bellies with goodness. Our waitress was awesome. The food was amazing(biscuits and gravy, patty melt, blueberry waffle, double order of «all the way» hash browns, coffee, iced tea(yes we sure can eat)), and a good time was had in our state of food nirvana. On a side note, a Waffle House is sorely needed much closer to Chicago, in case Waffle House corporate is reading today.
