Peebles Department Store

I like start my reviews with a quick sentence so that those that don’t want to read the long narrative have an idea of my experience and opinion… In shirt, small store with an ok selection, not bad for a small town department store… staff was AMAZING!
Ok, long story… This was only my second time in this store and I only stopped because I was in the area and I was out and about with my little ones adventuring. First impression, it looks like a small Kohls. MAJOR plus for a mom with little ones, they have awesome carts (see pic I posted) that have a super comfy seat for the babies and a huge area for your shopping goodies. The carts were all up front and in great condition (straps works, wheels didn’t squeak, etc).
We browsed the store, mostly the kids section in the back. The selection is small, but they carry Carter’s and Disney stuff. Prices are all high, then huge markdowns/​sales, a lot like Kohls again. This makes it a little tricky to know exactly how much things cost.
In the end we picked some hair bows and two tops, one each for my toddlers.
Check out was quick, our sales assistant was extremely friendly, so nice to encounter great retail staff. She rang us up and the total was ok, $ 38, but the she said, «hold on, let me give you the coupon» and she scanned a 30% off coupon for me!!! It saved me $ 15 and brought my total to $ 22 and some change. HUGE!!!
I was so excited I wanted to hug her! She gave my girls each their own bag with their shirts so they could carry their treasures themselves.
Peeples may not be a huge store but they definitely did something right with their staff! We will be back!
