I love Sabor Latino. Both times that I visited, I came with my husband and children. Any place that can accommodate a special needs family wins my heart over immediately! Their food is exceptionally fresh and authentic! Upon walking in, it feels like you’ve stepped into a little Mexico! I loved the whole experience of dining here and their traditional freshly squeezed fruit juices and their chunky guacamole is to die for! Their menu is a bit overpriced, but considering the quality and freshness, I will pay their prices 1000x over!

I’ve never actually been into Sabor Latino, yet, but used to work in a place where one of our co-workers would take lunch orders from our workgroup once a week, and this is one of the places he’d order from. Coming from 28 years in southern California(where you could drive just minutes away to any kind of food you could ever want) to southern NJ, I was desperate for some good Mexican food, and this place has it! My favorite lunch was always some sort of burrito and were they ever fresh and delicious! And huge! I’d always have enough left for the next day’s lunch, too, which made the already-good price an even better bargain. The salsa was also very fresh and so tasty. You could smell the«liveliness» in it. Other people would order different dishes which also looked and smelled amazing and I never heard one complaint or hint of negativity, just a lot of «yummy noises.» I’d forgotten about this place until just now, browsing through the local Unilocal listings, and I’m so glad to be reminded! It’s now on the list to get in there, and soon!

My husband and I stumbled upon this place about a year ago and try to visit often. The décor is modest but fun, the prices are super reasonable and we love the food! Chill atmosphere and never crowded. The waitstaff are respectful but attentive. Enjoy!!!

If you are looking for authentic Mexican cuisine, this is the place. I stumbled upon this place while in the area and I am so glad that I did. I had the grilled steak with onions, tomatoes and jalapeños and it was delicious! The steak was sliced and seasoned perfectly. The onions added great flavor with the perfect balance of heat from the jalapeños. This place is about 45 minutes from my house but I will take the drive back to eat because it was that good.

They serve fresh orange juice, which can serve as its character note. Very good, authentic, casual mexican food. I’m a frequent customer, especially for take-out. Great find.

More than worth a look, really. As a man who appreciates authentic Mexican food in principle but is more likely to swing through the Taco Bell drive-thru in practice, it was a treat to have dinner at Sabor Latino last night. Our server was exceptionally friendly — I’ve heard people speak of potential language barrier issues here, but we had no issue. She was helpful, gave several recommendations, and remained genial throughout our meal. That said, there may have been a slight breach in communication — ordering my beef steak nachos with jalapenos didn’t appear to work out, and there were ingredients in the dish I wasn’t prepared for, since they weren’t mentioned in the menu. Onions, for example — I’m not allergic, but I simply have a strange and forceful aversion to them. I do wish the menu had alerted me to this, but hey, learning experiences and all that. Now I know. The creamy avocado purée served with chips at the beginning of the meal is a nice touch, a tasty little deviation from the standard chips and salsa. The steak offered on my dish was a little gristly and overdone for my tastes, but as a platter it was nice and flavorful, and my wife’s chicken fajitas were perfectly cooked and seasoned. I’ll reserve a final judgment until I make a return visit, but until then, Sabor Latino looks to be the only true game in town as far as real Mexican food in the area goes. Skip that soggy Taco Bell slog next time and drive the extra ten minutes — it’s worth it.

Hi all, This is an UPDATE on Sabor Latino! After my last review, the Chef corrected me on the Guacamole. They offer(2) Guacamole’s. One with the chips which is pureed and a side Chunky version full of fresh Avocado, Cilantro, Tomato’s, Onions and more! All of the food cooked here is made to order and FRESH! This IS the place in Salem County to go for GREAT Mexican. Décor is equivalent to a nice Pizzeria, I really hope the word gets out about this place. OFFTHEMAINLINE, this place can be hard to find. But it’s definitely worth the look! The hours and service are GREAT. This is a traditional Mexican restaurant and you have to ask for the utensils. Try my favorite, SHRIMP or CHICKENCHIMICHANGA. Hot, Fresh and filled with large SHRIMP and Mexican Cheese, rolled up and fried. Served with fresh Avocado, Onions and Lettuce. This is a BYOB. A great place for small parties and kids. Make sure you mentioned you saw this review on Unilocal! This place is the equivalent of the small café with the checkerboard table cloth. Great place for a laid back date and a bottle of Sangria. Make sure you email me with your experience there!
