Great breakfast food. The spinach, feta omelette was delicious, as was the blueberry pancakes, peanut butter pancakes, and hash browns. The prices were great and the staff was prompt and polite.

Native Café is small but the food is good. I ate the Pancake Wich. It was a glorified McGriddle but tasted great. The hash browns are actually seasoned diced potatoes but they are EXCELLENT. I could have made a breakfast out of just those. My boyfriend had the Gulf Coast Seafood Omelette. He enjoyed it too.

Awesome atmosphere. Friendly waitresses. Amazing food. The blueberry pancakes were the best I ever had. They make their own pancake batter in house. Also, the tropical ambrosia was great.

The Crab Cake Benedict is awesome! I am a local and not sure why I have never been here but I will 100% be back. Great service and great atmosphere! I didn’t give 5 stars because my eggs were slightly over cooked than I prefer but nothing that cannot be fixed. Great flavor!

The food scene in Pensacola Beach is average at best. It consists mostly of bar food that focuses on the readily available seafood in the area. While seafood is a hot commodity for foreigners like me(an inland dweller), fried seafood does not make a place a culinary destination. Thus Native Café was a refreshing change from the past 5-days of dining experiences while visiting this area. The food was not bar style or straight from the deep fryer. It was fresh, proportionally appropriate, and prepared with some love. They make REAL omelettes here, not just another egg scramble. Beautifully done — truly.

Whenever I visit Pensacola Beach, I always go to Native Café. It is really my go-to place for breakfast on the island. The breakfast here is awesome. I almost always get the eggs Benedict. They poach the eggs however you like them, and I like mine nice and runny. They do a nice job of it. The hollandaise sauce is nice and lemony. Sometimes I go for lunch too. For a starter the corn po’ cakes are like little corn pancakes with pepper jelly for dipping. It’s a nice mix of savory and spicy. The smoked tuna melt is the way to go for a sandwich. It is loaded down with smoked tuna, and is really delicious. The service here is always fast and really friendly. The prices are reasonable, and the food is awesome. I will definitely go back.

Native Café was a quick walk from our hotel and we heard the food was good so we walked over for breakfast on our second day in Pensacola. If you get there during peak times then expect to have a wait. We tend to wake up later so we missed the crush of people. She did at first ask if we minded counter seating but by the time she was ready for us an actual table had opened up. Sweeeeet. The menu has basic breakfast things but also some creative things like crab cake eggs benedict and some seafood omelettes, etc. I opted for straight up breakfast — 2 eggs over easy, bacon, toast. The BF got the breakfast that included 3 eggs, biscuit and gravy, bacon, hashbrowns, and a pancake.(Oink! Oink! Ha!) The eggs are done just right — runny yolk, not overcooked. The bacon was just the way I like it — crispy not floppy. I hate floppy bacon! They do it perfectly crispy. The pancake was good, standard, and tasted good with the syrup. But you must try the hot sauce on the table if you like spicy things. It isn’t super hot but still pretty nice heat and I believe it is homemade there. This is like crack. I doused my eggs in this and it added very nice heat. We loved it so much we wanted to take some home with us but I can’t trust myself not to break it in my suitcase… or on the way home for that matter. So we liked it so much we went back again on our last day there. I pretty much had the same thing again except this time with biscuit and gravy since their gravy was perrrrfect. White gravy, peppery, good consistency. MMMMM. Also, as a side note, they do have mimosas and such so you can get your booze on if you aren’t all boozed out — or if you need some hair of the dog to get you going again. And the service was friendly and a little quirky — which I definitely like. They also have artwork on the wall for sale — I could see these paintings looking great in a beach house or maybe just your house to remind you of the beach. Loved Native Café and will definitely be back next time I visit.

Ahhhh. These delicious little breakfast/lunch spots are what I love finding when visiting a new town(Pensacola beach). I did a little digging on Unilocal and ended up at the Native Café for my last meal of my vacation. They serve breakfast until 1130, lunch from 11−3pm.(They don’t do dinner) Getting there at 11, I was craving both breakfast and lunch flavors. We ordered crab cakes to start, that were absolute heaven and easily topped any I had consumed before in my lifetime. For my entrée I gave in to my breakfast cravings and ordered what I’d consider to be a pretty standard platter– eggs, bacon, home fries, toast. Nothing unique or creative. But my god, was everything perfect in every possible way. Such a satisfying meal. My boyfriend got something I’d consider unique– a seafood stuffed omelette with mahi, crab, and a few other meats. He loved it! Service was friendly and our wait was quick despite a line out the door and minimal seating(it’s a pretty small place). I will absolutely be back the next time I visit Pensacola.

Stopped in for lunch – not crowded this Monday of Spring Break week. The crowds, as we’ve seen from time to time, really pack this place for breakfast. Flame sautéed Florida Fish Tacos made with mahi-mahi, topped with chopped tomato, bell pepper, cabbage and accompanied by a side of spicy, smoky chipotle mayo. Def a Florida variation. Three 8-inch flour tortillas(obviously bigger than traditional 6-inch corn tortillas you get at many other restaurants, especially West Coast) but a smallish portion of grilled, chunks of mahi-mahi. The mahi was heartily seasoned which masked the flavor of the fish. Overall the«bite» was tasty, piquant, slightly tart, mildly acidic. The menu advertised that it was supposed to come with«pico.» However(see photo I posted), there was no pico de gallo anywhere to be found. The dish was served with a small side container of a cream-based tartar sauce as well as a chipotle mayo. A little of the accompanying Chipotle Mayo went a long way. Meaning, if you like spice, then go ahead and slather it on. At one point, as she placed the dish on our table, our(attentive and polite) waitress commented that there was new cook… seems he also included a piece of lettuce on one of the tacos. Am I being picky? «Just the facts, ma’am; just the facts»(as Dragnet’s Joe Friday used to say). My Crab Pattie was just that… not a «Crab Cake,» but rather a lightly browned, crispy coated, mushy-mealy(interior) patty. The crab flavor was quite evident and the patty was well cooked; it simply had the texture of a fis

This place is great! I came in for breakfast and was happy to see a place that doesn’t up charge their food just because they are on the strip. Expect a wait, they had a line out of the door but it’s worth it. I got a basic egg sandwich on a bagel. It’s what you expect, a breakfast sandwich. My sister got the pancake-wich. Eggs, sausage and 2 pancakes to hug it in. It was surprisingly good. The right amount of salty and sweet. My dad got their potato asparagus soup– he kept saying how it hit the spot. He didn’t want anything heavy after gorging on island food and alcohol the night before. Another sister got the stuffed french toast– Wow! Lots of strawberries, cream cheese in the middle and fluffy french toast. I couldn’t stop eating hers. Overall 5 stars because of the great service, great food and great price. It’s not the best I’ve ever had but it’s the best on the island.
