Attentive service, delicious Tex-Mex. This is one of my new favorites in Pensacola. I had the combo with posole chicken soup, salad, and cheesy quesadilla.(I didn’t care for the lime vinaigrette, but that was the only complaint.) Also, the artwork is beautiful and the bathrooms were super clean.

Save some time and money and get better Meican food at Taco Bell. Waited 20 min to sit, not bad…20+ to get drink order taken, another 20+ to get the drinks(water and iced tea). And 30 minutes later for the food!!! Took 15 min to get some hot sauce at a «Mexican» restaurant. Anyway go to the bell and you’ll be much happier. Oh yeah, mango margarita was in a red solo cup with sugar rim and orange slice:/

Food was subpar, I ordered a mani mahi burrito and there was like, 2 small pieces of fish in it. Food came out kinda cold. My waitress was horrendous, she never and not once refilled our chips/salsa and drinks despite walking by us many times. Needless to say, she was left with a very small tip. Other Cactus Flower restaurants were great, not sure why this one was miss.

Had lunch here with the family today. I have to say I am very disappointed with what we experienced after reading all these great reviews. The food was awful… I don’t think they used any spices in their meat. Everything was extremely bland… especially for what you’re paying. We will not be returning for a second try.

California burrito is the best burrito I have had in my life hands down, and that is really saying something for a 25 year old in this day and age of excellent burritos. It is not on the menu, though. You have to ask for it. Black market type stuff. ;)

Bland food. Perfect if you enjoy eating heated up cardboard. The salsa tasted like ketchup with water. I have had better Stoufer’s Mexican entrees, and that is disgusting by its own accord.

Great food and great service Once you try the Southwestern enchiladas every thing else pales in comparison.

The chips tasted like they came out of a bag. Mediocre Mexican food if you ask me.

Love this place. The food is always fresh and so good. My only complaint is the chips. They really do just taste like the most bland, store bought chips you could find. Love the tacos though, and I love that you can get them in a wheat shell!

Does not disappoint! It is a smaller version of the Pensacola one and that might be a problem later because of the popularity. I wished they offered blacken mahi mahi fish tacos instead of fried but it is ok. Since they just open I will give the location time to season up a little. Pros: Food and service Cons: size of location but not a problem at the moment and full menu not being offered at the moment. Still a win for the Pace area!

I was so excited to come to this restaurant since my friend had good things to say about the Cactus Flower Café in Navarre, FL. However, the service in this restaurant was awful and I didn’t care for the food(& I love Mexican food!). We went in for lunch — the restaurant wasn’t busy(about 3 tables). We were taken to our table promptly and got our drinks quickly. However, that was where the good service stopped. It took us a while for us to figure out what we wanted. The waiter had come back several times to check in on us for our order. Finally, we were all ready and had our menus closed but it took forever for the waiter to come back. I’ll give him some leeway since we were studying the menu for a while. Finally, we flagged him down for more chips. Our food took forever to come out. I’m a fan of Mexican food and just thought that was unusual since they are usually on top of it. While we were waiting for our food, we were done with our chips(had been for a while and were waiting for him to come and fill our chip bowl). Meanwhile, we see him in the other room/hall talking on his cellphone. We finally get our food. One of my friend had ordered the burrito and she had asked about her rice & beans. Our waiter told us that it was in the burrito. So we were all eating and my friend was showing us how her burrito did not have the rice and beans. So she ate slowly hoping the waiter will come back by to check on us again. He did not. Meanwhile, the other 2 friends were about done with their meal. We had to flag down the bartender to get a hold of our waiter. Food: I ordered the Quesadillas — steak with fajita veggies mix. I didn’t care for the meat(shredded steak). The vegetables weren’t very good either. I’m not sure if it’s the California Style? I was so disappointed in the food. The salsa was bland. We asked if they can make it hotter and they can(it seemed like all they did was chopped up jalapenos and mixed it in the salsa). The best part of this meal was the chip. I can ignore the horrible service if the food is excellent but adding the not good meal on top of it just made this a bust. I’m a waitress myself. This level of service our waiter had is an embarrassment.

Fresh original dishes with a Cali-Mex influence. Never disappoints! The California torte sandwich and tortilla soup is particularly tasty and they spice the soup to your liking. Bread is made fresh in house.

I live in San Diego and consider myself to have an experienced Cali Mex palate. This place is great. Salsa is made fresh with tomatillos, guac is also delicious. The chicken tortilla soup was excellent, with lots of shredded chicken and handmade tortilla chips. Margaritas are inexpensive with plenty of tequila. This is a definite favorite for me!

We loved this place when it was smaller. The quality has definitely gone down since moving and getting larger.

Wish I could give less than 1 star! Terrible service!!! We were there at 2 in the afternoon during the week. Hardly any customers and had a party of 12. Ordered 2 quesos and 2 guacs and asked a few times for more chips. The waitress rudely brought out bags of Santitas(off brand Tostitos) to refill our baskets. I’ve never seen anything like this before! Chips were going all over the table! Ridiculous!

Place was good not great. Salsa wasn’t good, but chips were tasty like out of the bag tasty… i got the chimichanga and that was fried perfectly! My girlfriend got the mango shrimp and she enjoyed it! On a lunch break so i cant rate the rita’s. Would come back after visiting other«authentic» mexican restaurants in the area and they weren’t great…

Can’t believe all the positive reviews about this restaurant. Would not recommend this place you can get better tasting Mexican from a frozen Dinner. The chips are some cheap off brand Tostitos, the salsa was like pace picante sauce and queso was awful. Food was horrible and made our stomachs nauseating

The huge burrito was fresh but kind of bland. Table cloth was dirty. Service was fair. I doubt I’ll return.
