They are CROOKS! overpriced little apartments. Thin walls! Mold! Police around all the time. They tried to tack on all kinds of crazy fees upon moving out. Don’t rent here! Especially when you are active duty.

The first review was spot on. This place is very well manicured ATTHEENTRANCE but it’s management ends there. I asked specifically and was told that there are NOHUD subsidies here… but I will tell you that this place is top heavy with non caring management and inconsiderate tenants. There ARE a few who likely«need» to live there for financial reasons and you can tell the pride they show in their apartments, but like the last reviewer said… NOONE including the office staff(who lives there) picks up after their pets. Tenants will even but their dogs in the KID’S playground while partying only to retrieve them later… with dog poop left in the sand. The«lakes» are drainage ponds chock full of dog and duck poop and some people actually fish it! Balconies are not solid so once again, inconsiderate upper level tenants water plants and/or leave pets to pee down on lower tenants. I am not kidding. Management made aware… hand’s off. Pet limits? NO… Tenant limits? NO! Common sense is not part of the lease criteria. Deputies know the apartment by name and management advises to call them directly so they can take a «hand’s off» approach to the 2 am shouting and inconsiderate neighbors. And now, rent is going up… drive on by this place for a better managed facility. Crystal Lake was bought(again) by another management company with a business model of «proven track record for repositioning failed or failing properties.» That’s from their website. So there’s your sign!

ACTIVEDUTYSTAYAWAY!!! This place looks nice at a first glance, but it is absolutely horrible! When I first moved here the staff seemed nice, but management has changed and now the personnel are so two faced it’s obvious. The only individuals I will compliment are the maintenance staff. They’ve been nothing but friendly but everyone else is horrible. They tried to get around the military clause to keep me from moving out to on base by lying to me. Thankfully Navy Legal cleared that up for me. Some of the residents are nice but most are shady and have no respect for others. No one picks up after their pets and car/truck alarms are always going off. There are break-ins, thankfully I have not been a victim of this, but I did purchase new car and not two months after someone hits it and it goes unreported. No note or information left. The only thing that kept me here for 2 years was the rent prices which started out under $ 600 in 2012. Now they’re trying to go up to $ 835! If you’re active duty then my advice is to go elsewhere or apply for base housing because you won’t be saving anything anymore with these prices. Even so it’s not worth the hassle from dodging doggy land mines and crooked employees.
