I’ve stopped in here a few times over the years just looking for some special gifts for my wife. The prices are high for sure, some items are seriously high. BUT, they have such a great range of really unique stuff, and the staff are top notch — really friendly and genuinely helpful. I didn’t wind up getting much on my last trip there, certainly not their biggest customer that day, but they provided an awesome gift wrapping for the cool stuff I bought, and were as nice as could be. I need to get here more often.

More than just a furniture store, Unilocal.I said to Kana E. that this place feels like the store run by a TV character who somehow has money enough to launch a curated collection of amazing, expensive furniture, housewares, clothing and jewelry and call it a store. I would imagine there are events here with nice champagne and beautiful Pensacola attendees. We didn’t buy anything. The prices are on par with NYC boutiques($ 170 jean shorts; $ 70 t shirts)… But it sure is nice in here.

Good holy design, wow. The scene here is beautiful. This is what West Elm and Pottery Barn wished they were. The attention to detail was superb. I loved the shop cat as well. Prices were definitely set beyond my budget, but it was a fun place to stroll through.

If an electronics store is a guy’s shopping paradise, then an interior design store must be one for women. My wife and I visited, and she was immediately hooked. Duh is a locally owned store specializing in interior design. Duh is somewhat similar to those well known chains like Crate & Barrel or Pottery Barn. What differentiates them from those chains is that they have a more unique style and feels less«corporate» looking(for lack of a better word). The merchandise they sell also feels more high quality. But, with higher quality comes higher prices. After looking at some of the price tags, my wife proceeds to tell me that her love for decorating conflicts with her love of saving money. Of course, this is after she«raided» the Pottery Barn Outlet store in Atlanta a few weeks ago.

I remember the old DUH which was small, eclectic and sold everything from high end furnishings to beautiful garden accessories win a small, old building with a shell parking lot. Now, comes the new DUH, multiple buildings of high end furnishings, accessories and plants at every price point. They have built a real parking lot and a restaurant appears to be opening in November. The old warehouse is across the railroad tracks and if you need something not in stock, they’ll find it here. DUH features top craftsman designs without the chain store-looking,(think Restoration Hardware/Pottery Barn etc), feel. I love this place for finding a unique piece which you will never see elsewhere. We had wonderful great experience shopping experience with excellent customer service at DUH to ship items back to California. I was thinking this was odd until I heard about the folks from New York re-doing everything in a condo with DUH’s design team and shipping it all to NYC. DUH executed a smart advertising move in their early days by giving a $ 50 gift card to every condo purchaser of a new development in Florida. Many of us discovered the place as a result and it’s been mutually beneficial. Great spot and looking forward to the restaurant.

The interior design items they have are wonderful, but expensive. I saw similar items elsewhere for less. It’s fun just to walk through the many buildings and the outdoor area to explore, even if you don’t buy anything.

Holy interior decorating heaven! Wow. The atmosphere is awesome. They have outdoor(or indoor) pots of absolutely every shape and size. The outdoor furniture and fountains are pretty darn cool. But the stuff they have for interior design is second to none. Wow. There is something for everyone here. From oriental design to classic French to contemporary they really have a wide variety. The prices aren’t cheap. That’s the bad part. BUT if you are looking for one fabulous piece, I would say this is the place to go. They have dishes, soap, linens, furniture, wall art, etc etc etc. There is a small front shop. Then you meander back to a 2-story house filled with goodies. Then you go behind that to a huge building with even more goodies. Across the street is another huge warehouse that is open to customers. I will definitely be back to check out how the merchandise turns over and to see if I can find a hidden treasure!
