Never been to a gay bar before. The place was clean and well run. And the music was great. If recommend this place to anyone.

I had such fun last night at Emerald City. The crowd was great and the rum punch was tasty, thanks Rachel. They played great music and the Drag Show was amazeballs! This place is perfect for dancing with good friends and meeting new ones.

Emerald City is the coolest fucking bar I’ve been to in a long time! You can so be yourself and feel comfortable and at home. Everybody was friendly and cool as hell. I’m from Killeen Texas, and there is nothing like this there! Nothing. The place is big too, with outside bar and a cool rooftop smoking area. The other night they had a wear your underwear jam and it was cool as hell! Then a riotous drag show. I had sooo much fun! I met someone really cool and precious. They even painted our bodies in neon paint to dance under the black light, it was outrageous. This place is the bomb. And you have to try bartender Vaughn’s signature drink, ‘ocean water’. Check this place out, its so cool!

Expensive cover, expensive drinks and the bartenders are rude if you try to pay with a credit card and they just don’t tell you they don’t take credit cards, they will just point you at a very small sign in a column that says«cash only». Not really worth it to go there.

If they don’t think you’re local they’ll charge you a lot.

$ 15 cover, $ 10 drinks and no credit cards accepted… yet it’s the furthest thing from trendy. Someone tell this place this isn’t NYC stat.

the events are great especially drink n drowns, Ben(at The Other Side) is the best bartender ever, he is very quick to keep your drinks coming and doesn’t need you to flag him down, not to mention he’s quite the eye candy. The staff is really nice and you’ll have a good time.

This is honestly one of the weirdest bar’s I have ever been to in the sense of how it is set up. I didn’t really get it, but I still had fun. This bar is 18+, it’s a predominately gay bar, which already I’m thinking what is not to love, but then you walk in and it’s like, a bar, a pool table, a dart thing and that’s it. There’s a walkway to your left and one straight down. Then I get confused, where is the dance floor, what happened here? If you go to the left, there is just like chairs… and that’s it. If you go straight to the back, that’s where all of the dancing takes place, there is cages and everything, also the bathrooms, which is good. I guess the purpose behind it is to have separation, but I think i’m just used to that set up the other way around. Either way, fun music, cheap drinks, lovely fun bartenders that will flirt with everyone, what is not to love? :)

Gay club/bar with decent amount of straight folks. Hung out here with a mixed group of Lesbians, a Transguy and a couple of straight girls. Went there on a Saturday night prior to going to downtown Pensacola, as the location is next to the Crown Hotel and civic center. We arrived around 10 and left just past midnight. The location was broken down into several areas, including a classier bar area, a pool hall, small dance club and then outside seating area. I was the DD so my water was free but drinks were very inexpensive as a whole including 3 dollar shots which were the evening special. Staff was very cool and the place was relatively clean, including the bathrooms, which was quite a bit of a surprise to me. Negatives were the horrific amount of smoke and inability to get away from it and the overall«old» feeling of the place. Also, the drag show was blah, as neither of the«girls» were in anyway convincing in their performances, either looks or talent wise. In the end it gets three stars thanks to hitting the spot when it came to good service and drinks.

Yeah I went here… on a Sunday. Not much goes on in Mary Esther so we went to Pensacola hoping to find some place to dance. Though we only stayed 30 minutes(nothing goes on in Pensacola on a Sunday this was our third and last place of the night) I feel the positives out weighted the negatives. 1. Cover was not excessive $ 10.00 2. There were two drag shows, I didn’t stay for either of them but I heard from someone that did that both were phenomenal 3. Rail drinks are free before 1 am, nonrail were only $ 3.00 4. People who worked there were extremely nice 5. Dance floor was huge, music played wasn’t my thing, but others seemed to be into it 6. Diverse crowd There were only two things that kind of bothered me, but if I was going to be in town again I could get past it: 1. Ladies bathroom: I don’t frequent gay bars often so don’t know if this is typical there was no outer door to the ladies room and then all the locks had been removed from the stalls. Um seriously. Are you implying that people are getting down at your establishment in the restroom? Kind of skeeved me out, probably not the message you want to send to your guests. 2. Cash only. They have an ATM so I got over it.

…fun little gay club with really cheap drinks. Saturday night was Drink and Drown night where they have $ 1 beers. The music was pretty decent, and yes Pensacola, Us straight people are allowed inside and not harassed… being from a big city, the gay clubs are usually the best ones. Nice staff. Will be back.

This was my very first time at Emerald City it wasn’t quite what I was expecting but it quickly became a very interesting venue. The space is really cool. I have been to a plethora of bars across the nation and this one is unique in its own way. The place was very spacious and even had a rooftop section to enjoy the nightly breeze and what not. I think this place was definitely a little more occupied than usual because of the memorial day weekend festivities. It wasn’t to capacity even with this event which makes me think this place is normally pretty empty. I mean it is Pensacola, I don’t know how many LGBT people actually live in the area. The drinks here were reasonably priced and the clientele seemed really nice. I would come here again. Well… wait…it is the only gay bar to go to in Pensacola anyway. best pick up line of this particular night: «can I pour my drink on you!?»
