First of all, don’t you want to call this place Friend-Zone Shu Repair? I mean, chances are you might not find the love of your life here. And if you somehow met someone you’re interested in, odds are you might be friend zoned just because that is so commonplace in today’s internet dating society. Anyway, this is a classic shoe repair shop to include all the vintage-looking machines being handled by an experienced-looking cobbler who has seen the movie The Cobbler starring Adam Sandler. He was a nice guy who seemed pretty busy. So busy in fact that he could not do a same-day or 1-day shine job. I paid the man ~$ 12 to shine my military boots, which is a little on the expensive side but he did a great job and would recommend this joint if you don’t want to drive any further. Friend-zone!

I recently took my work shoes here that I needed done quickly due to a relocation with short notice. The man and woman working when I dropped them off were extremely helpful. They rushed the order for me with no extra charge, and even stayed after hours for me to pick them up. On top of that my shoes were pristine and the quality of work was exceptional. They even struck up a conversation with my shy 5 year old daughter and offered her some treats. All in all I would highly recommend this shoe shop both for workmanship and also customer service.

Franzone Shu Repair makes my list of «classic Pensacola» because they work out of a building that has clearly been with their business for decades. I tried them out on a pair of dress shoes, and I was really happy with their service. Instead of buying brand new shoes, I had them resole & buff my shoes back to an almost new state. Total price was about $ 30, so definitely a good investment. Worth a shot if you’ve got some quality leather shoes that you’d like to preserve.
