New World Landing

This is for the Inn portion only. Not worth the money, not worth half the money. No southern hospitality, smile or even polite attitude by the desk clerk, dilapidated in many ways (see photos) and way, way overpriced.

I recently stay at the hotel and they gave me a «discount» down to $ 132. I could not have been more in satisfied with this hotel. The carpets appeared to never have been cleaned. There were stains everywhere. Missing pictures on the wall. Everything was old and outdated. Not in a cute antique way, in a it needs to be thrown away kinda of way. I hate to write bad reviews and honestly rarely do, but I am trying to save the next couple who comes along and think they have found a good deal.

New World Landing is where we had our reception. I love the look of this venue! It had amazing food and service. There was a few things that we would have changed if we could do it again.
One would be that they should create a system to keep guests from other events and from their hotel out of your event. After we mentioned this, a worker immediately printed signs and hung them up on our doors. Two, we wished the air condition was a little bit cooler. The last would be that the event coordinator would have penciled us in with the room that we wanted with the date that we asked for that room. We had emailed her asking to see the front of the house. She had made us an appointment a few weeks after the holidays. When we went to see it, she had said someone called that morning for it and if they didn’t want it, we could have it. I was upset that we weren’t penciled in first when we had emailed and told her we were interested in it.
Overall a great staff– chef, bartenders and setup crews!
