I really enjoy the food and the waiter and waitresses are friendly as well. I have been quite a few times, and have yet to be disappointed. My family from AL always want to eat here when they visit. The fried green tomatoes are so good you want to slap somebody and the fried pickles are great as well. Love love love this place! Hope they don’t stop caring and the food and service start to suck.

Everything about PoFolks is good. I usually get the one that has two entrees with it. Like livers and fried chicken. I have enough left over for lunch the next day and a snack for my furbabies. Their biscuits are awesome. This is part of a chain but it is a franchise. They do have to follow protocol but the owner is on site. He comes by the table at least one time during each visit. The food is always good and have never had a problem. Everyone is very friendly. I would suggest this to anyone wanting some good country southern cooking. They also have catering. And a Fried chicken picnic for the family. 16 piece chicken with sides for 27.99. Other chicken places are almost that much for 8 piece chicken. I do believe their prices are the almost the same as they were when we used to go there in Nashville. Can’t go wrong with this place and if something is wrong just mention it, they will make it right. So glad they are in Pensacola !!

Great fried food, exactly what we expected. Fried chicken was yummo, the oil was fresh… The greens were perfect, not too salty,. Half n half tea hit the spot… Just sugary enough. The service was prompt and friendly… It wasn’t very busy around 3pm.

This is their very first day open and I was seated right away. I did wait to come until 1:15pm. The décor is country, of course. I was unsure what to expect since they are in a strip mall location vs an independent building. My server Justin N. was very good. He gets extra props for bringing me a refill before my drink was completely out! I got the chicken and dumplings with turnip greens and red beans-n-rice just so I could try a little variety. It was all good. Now the disclaimer is. This is a chain restaurant so their southern cooking will probably not be like your mamas but it’s still good for the price. The biscuits are great! Kids meal portions were a good size for the price and the drink is included which is always a plus. The servers currently back each other up so if you need something any of the servers will assist. I hope that lasts. Good food, decent value for portion size. I do recommend you try. Now, the reason I did not give them 5 stars is due to the to-go cup size they provide. For 2.60 a drink, I am a big to-go cup person. When I need one I expect a normal size to-go cup not a child size, since I am not a child ! Get normal size to-go cups!

We have been here many times. When the place first opened the service was not great. The management has since corrected the problem and the service now is very attentive, friendly and fast. The food is great. It is not fine dinning, if you are looking for that go to the Grand Marlin. If you want good southern cooking this is it! My favorite is the bone in catfish. It is some of the best catfish I have ever had. The turnip greens are perfect and the hush puppies are great. My husband loves the everything salad and my cousin says the chicken livers here are awesome. Pofolks is good southern dining at a reasonable price.
