Fun, divey little bar in Peoria Heights, with a really nice outdoor beer garden. I don’t think I’d go here to sit inside, but the beer garden was great on a beautiful evening. Good beer selection, sample flights available. We had fried pickles and a pizza. The pickles were not to my liking. They were strangely sweet. The pizza was fine, but nothing to write home about. The reason to go here is to sit with friends in a nice outdoor setting and have a beer. The food is… there. If you’re hungry and don’t feel like going to one of the excellent restaurants on the same street. We will be back but not to eat.

Wow what a difference a little time away can make. This place used to be my favorite but I haven’t been there in several months. I hope this was an isolated incident. We walked in and there were only two tables clean, one very small just inches from a larger table that was full and a very large one. There were several tables that were not bussed. After a couple of minutes we were told to sit wherever we would like. I asked if one of the dirty tables was okay and the waitress laughed at me like I was being a pain.(I have 30 years restaurant experience and really try to be an easy customer). We ended up sitting at an outside table instead. A waitress said she would be right with us. Then we did not see her. We had been there 10 minutes and did not even have a drink order placed. I can forgive a lot of things, apathy is not one of them. Went to TNT’s down the road and had a great meal with great service.

Friendly staff, and the pizza is amazing! Not even the tornado drill in the middle of our dinner was enough to make our experience negative. Once you spend 25 minutes randomly in a crowded basement of a pizza place, you really get to know the place and it’s staff. During the time we were taking cover, our waitress continued to run up and down the stairs grabbing our party drinks! What other pizza place can you go where the staff will actually risk their personal safety in order to accommodate their guests during a minor disaster?! Let me tell you, after the tornado passed, we went upstairs and ordered another pizza. I would definitely recommend this place to all of my friends looking for a homemade, hometown pizza experience! No wonder everyone says they have the best pizza in Peoria!

So much for thinking we were going to have a nice karaōke night… The waitress never even came to our table. Terrible service!!!

The food was really expensive for what you got. The wings are very small and the cheese sticks were small and greasy. Drinks are kind of pricey. I don’t recommend this pub and will not be returning. They have a nice outdoor patio though.

Had our company Christmas party here. It was by far my least favorite location for our Christmas parties thus far. The party room is in the basement and hard to find. The bathroom was disgusting with holes in the ceiling and walls. The party room was dark and dingy. We had one waitress when our group was large enough for at least 3. Food came out very slow(even though we had pre-arranged with the pub to have a large party for the evening). Probably the worst pizza I’ve ever had. Waitress was rude and kept getting orders wrong. Had to ask several times for cheese sauce for bread sticks(had already asked for the cheese sauce for the sticks when they were ordered), and by the time the waitress brought out the cheese sauce, we were paying for the bill and the sticks were long gone. I would not recommend this to anyone, and if we have any more work parties here, I will not be attending.

I am going to give the place a break. It was busy and the wait staff was definitely over worked and possibly short staffed. I’ve been there before and the food was good so maybe we will try again soon. If you have an issue just ask for the manager. I’m sure they will make it right.

The pizza is delicious and original. Service has almost always been understaffed and very poor. They typically have cover bands on the weekends which is nice. The beer garden outside is very nice during the warmer months.

Pizza was great, service was way understaffed on trivia night. Waitress helped us out on the bill after we were there for an hour with no food. Would like to go back in a normal night!

Went here for on an Monday during a hockey game. Crowd was enthusiastic about the game, beer was fine, bartender was attractive, stromboli was OK. Overall it just left me feeling«Meh». The space is broken up into three(or more) small spaces so I guess it just felt smaller and less interesting than it could have. If I lived closer, I would probably be here more often since it is nicely down to earth among some of the pretension of «the Heights», however, Oliver’s didn’t have anything to motivate me to journey from the northwest side of Peoria again.

Oliver’s is unpretentious and reasonably priced. The pizza is among the best in the Peoria area. The beer garden is serene, and it is especially great on Fridays when they have live music outside.

Got the trivia night wrong, ended up there on $ 1 taco and margarita night. Margaritas we not good, but for a $ 1, I wasn’t expecting much. Beer on the other hand was reasonably priced with good selection. Pizza’s were cheap, not the highest quality, but still quite tasty. Great out door patio area in the back.

A friend and I went to Oliver’s on a Saturday evening. The place was almost empty. We went outside to the patio area and sat. We sat for probably 10 – 15 minutes without any acknowledgement from waitstaff. So, we went indoors. Eventually, we received service. In retrospect, I am not sure why we bothered. We ordered ‘breadsticks’, which was actually plain pizza crust. Not brushed with butter or topped with anything… just baked crust, which is not terribly appetizing. The pizza was a disappointment as well. It was some of the blandest pizza I’ve ever tasted. I didn’t bother to finish mine, and neither did my friend. The vibe that we received was that no one cared that we were there to spend money in their establishment. Perhaps that is true, since it was a Saturday night at a restaurant/pub and we were one of only three tables occupied. The bar was empty except one gal who brought her young child. The whole experience was underwhelming.

We were here last year and came back this week. Last year it was a Friday night I think– Kareoke night! It had a nice local bar feel to it. The pizza was pretty good for a bar, a bar in Peoria. It is a large place with outdoor space, but we were there in the winter. We came back two nights ago on a Monday night. There were a few people there, actually also a couple of families with their young children too. I think one of the families thought they were in a Chuck E. Cheese; chasing their toddler around the bar, singing and dancing to her. I don’t think the old timers at the bar were enthused about the antics, I wasn’t. The pizza was again pretty good, little odd, 3 cheese(American was one) and pepperoni. They have a good beer selection, but were out of our first two choices. We will return for Karaōke(to watch) and maybe come in later when the children have been put to bed.
