Have been to Seven many times before and have noticed the quality of the food and preparation has declined over time. The waitress was trying to rush us through the meal, even telling us the desert options when we were eating our salad. This is a good atmosphere to meet for a drink however there are much better dining experiences and Chefs in the area.

We both had the grilled salmon, she had alternative potatoes, I enjoyed the wasabi potatoes — overall, Delicious. Brandy was an Awesome service technician.

We were terribly disappointed in Seven ! For the prices the ingredients in the food tasted cheap. I was a chef for 40 years and I know quality ingredients. We sent a poorly cooked steak back and it took forever to get a new one which we had boxed up. I could see the cook laugh when the waitress said we were not happy. On top of everything else we were over charged. Don’t go here! The only reason I have it one star was because the wait staff was very friendly. Seven sucks!

We were excited to try this restaurant. It was recommended to us. Unfortunately it fell short. The service was fine. Our server was nice and attentive. The food was disappointing. I got the stuffed chicken which had good flavor but not much stuffing so it was more like just chicken. My husband got the ribeye($ 29). It was cold, half over-cooked, and tough. When we mentioned the tough steak, nothing was done about it. Not worth the money. So sad!

I loved their drink specials like 7 Sangria and strawberry moonshine mojito, but the food left a lot to be desired. Very friendly service, but high prices on the food. They serve you delicious warm bread with honey butter and olive tapenade, but the chicken nachos had very few pieces of chicken on them and not much sauce, either. I had chicken di Gregorio; the chicken was tough and not seasoned properly. The pasta wasn’t al dente, and the sauce was very basic, seemed like it was from a can. My husband wasn’t pleased with his meal, either. My friend’s salad looked like it was from a bag.

Not impressed with this place. Small menu weird steak sizes nothing smaller than 10oz. I had the stuff chicken and a small bed of rice $ 18. It was so dry and rubbery I didn’t eat it. Won’t be going back here.

I had high hopes for this place but it fell far short of expectations. The décor tries to be trendy but is far more tacky. The service is very poor as well, with me waiting over fifteen minutes for a refill. At the prices they charge, the service should match.

We used to think highly of Seven, but tonight’s experience left us very disappointed, and we don’t plan on giving them any future business because of it. While the food was still pretty good(with the exception of the ribeye, which was difficult to swallow), the service was awful. Our waitress came to our table very infrequently throughout the entire night and allowed our water glasses to get down to empty multiple times. We had to ask for bread after not receiving any by the time the salads came. Our main course didn’t arrive until more than an hour after we sat down, even though we didn’t have appetizers and only half the party ordered salads. And no one even bothered to apologize for the wait. My dad actually made a point to politely inform the manager about the poor service after the meal and he reluctantly muttered«sorry» and didn’t even offer to compensate any part of the bill! At that point he could have made up for the negative experience by having a customer oriented attitude, like any smart business person in the service industry would do, but no such luck. I would have just chalked it up to an off night if not for his disregard for pleasing the customer. I don’t remember ever having problems with Seven’s service before, and the place wasn’t even that busy, so not sure what the issue was, but I’m not about to spend that kind of money again to be treated so poorly.

Ask for Sarah at the bar and then ask for the«Petester». Mint, basil, st Germain, etc, it’s a custom creation and it’s perfect.

Kinda surprised this place only has 3.5 stars. Went here last night for dinner with a big group from Maui Jim sunglasses. Food was fantastic, service was great(cute little blonde girl. Can’t remember her name), cool atmosphere, desert was delicious, no complaints what so ever. The only problem is I live in CA and don’t know when I will be back. Very impressed. Most smaller places like this don’t know how to handle big crowds and these place got it done! Good job.

My boyfriend and I stopped by here for dinner on a Monday evening because we wanted to sit outdoors and the weather was lovely. The menu is on the smaller side, and there wasn’t really anything that looked particularly appealing to me. We each ordered cocktails, and then I ordered the Pasta Di Gregoria while he ordered the appetizer Stuffed Portabella. Overall, the food was fine and the service was quick and responsive, but the overall experience was nothing special or noteworthy.

A quick stroll through the place and you can tell that this restaurant was trying to be trendy but it just fell far from it. To start, there was no theme to this place. Everything from wall color, table décor, to the bathroom signs did not suggest belonging. The waiters/waitresses wear t-shirts with horrible typography, reminiscent of the early nineties. And speaking of typography, the menu needs work, both on content and appearance. I do admit, the food and service were a little better than the atmosphere, however certain items on the menu were a disappointment. For the appetizer, our table of ~20 ordered the Seven Fries and some sort of chicken nachos. Honestly, I was not impressed. I’m a huge fan of fries and practice equal opportunity between fry to fry. However these fries came out over-cooked and just sad. The dipping sauce(some sort of aioli) was severely portion controlled and didn’t even last through half the plate. The nachos were ok, nothing too spectacular, it was just melted cheese with chicken pieces with tomatoes over a bed of Tostitos. My friend who sat next to me ordered the Lobster and Shrimp Bisque. I was expecting the soup to be dancing with generous pieces of lobster and shrimp, instead the soup should just be called«Bisque» because the lobster and shrimp obviously tangoed their way out of the soup before it even got to the table. For the main course, I ordered a substitute item, the rack of lamb with green beans and potatoes with assorted vegetables. The lamb was tender and delicious, seasoned very well however the side items were boring and unnoteworthy. For a place that aims to be trendy, my suggestion would be to provide interesting, exotic side dishes that compliment the main course instead of dulling it down. My friend(same friend who got the Bisque) ordered the 10oz steak, or as I to refer to it as the 10oz mis-steak. I tried a piece and was curious why such a mediocre steak costs $ 33, honestly, you’d have much better luck at Texas Road House for less than half the price. Even the novelty dipping sauces for the tiny steak morsel were not remarkable enough to drive the price up. What I found entertaining about this steak was the sides that it came with: a martini glass full of mashed potatoes, and three tiny, wilted asparagus(that’s right, three. I counted). We didn’t get dessert.

Great place for bus business meetings or impressing family out of town. Not many options on menu, but what they do have is killer

Nested in a very nice area of town, Seven is unfortunately not the trendy and great place I was looking for. The menu doesn’t change often but they do have very nice specials esp the Cajun Rib eye steak which was very well prepared. My wife’s drink came into a Ball Jam jar which sort of ruined her Mojito! This Grand Ma’s feel does belong to Cracker Barrel instead… Came out to be pricey compared to other upscale restaurants in the area and I wouldn’t put it on top of my list any time soon. Will try some of the new restaurant on Junction City instead or The Connected.

If you’re looking for a nice place to go in Peoria, try Noir or Salt(across the street), because Seven is trying to be both trendy and snobby… neither of which it can pull off. In fact, it needs to take a lesson in basic restauranteuring first(service, food, speed, attentiveness, customer service) because it doesn’t even do that well. After a disappointing experience with subpar food and terrible service, when I asked to speak to the manager at the end of the night, I was passed off to the hostess who promptly told me that I’m «welcome to go to any of the other restaurants next time.» I will certainly take her advice and am passing it along so that you can take it as well. I would say it was just what it should be for the price. So while it was thoroughly enjoyable, nothing was surprising on the menu, which would have been nice. I expected a chicken dish, a steak or two, a salmon — just your core menu items that you expect to see at a restaurant of this caliber. I had the seared tuna, which was really well prepared and presented. The house salad was good, and the bread they serve is excellent. All the staff that I interacted with were very friendly without being overbearing and my server was clearly very knowledgeable about the menu. So, while I have nothing negative to say at all, I guess I would have liked a less predictable menu. How’s that for a vague review??? :) All that said, I will definitely go back in the future. I didn’t try outside seating tonight, but I would love to do so next time.

Seven is one of the mainstays of the hip strip on Prospect and they keep it up with amazing drinks and a consistent menu. One of my restaurant pet peeves is the need to constantly change the menu to please our ADD society. If you have dishes you have perfected, keep them coming because nothing sours a dinner out faster than opening your menu to see your fav dish has disappeared. First, the drinks. Prices are just as high as everywhere on Prospect BUT here, you get a quality generous pour. Two drinks and you are good to go, are not full of high-cal mixers and have not broken the bank. Second, the food. I love the concise, something for everyone menu here. I have a hard time deciding and opening those giant, 4 page menus is sometimes off-putting. Plus I just feel like having fewer dishes helps the kitchen keep the ingredients fresher. I have not had anything that I disliked but the Steak Trio and the Seared Tuna are my loves. I never order chicken or pasta at fine dining restaurants so those are untested but I also enjoyed the Jamacian Pork and the rack of lamb is tasty although not as filling as some other dishes. Lobster bisque is a must and the Napa Nachos are delish! I think the mix of casual/trendy and fine dining is perfect here. Peoria is not one to keep around a pretentious, stuffy museum of eating(just HOW Is French Toast still open??) so that’s why the tables are covered in paper, the servers wear t-shirts and the owner can be seen most nights out chatting or actually helping the servers(!!). I would take the down-to-earth Seven over the snooty Junes or French Toasts any day!

Napa nachos are a win! I had the lamb chops which are tasty but mine were a little undercooked. I didn’t get sick and it wasn’t terrible, just think they could have been cooked a little more. Service was prompt, atmosphere was classy. Seven gives the appearance of an upscale restaurant but is not pretentious. A guy wearing shorts walked in as we were leaving and asked if he was dressed appropriately. The hostess assured him he was a saw them directly to their seat. Nice play, Seven, nice play.
