I was in town with my son’s basketball team from out of town and needed a place to feed 25 hungry players/parents. Being from Central IL, I have memories of visiting Peoria and having amazing thin crust pizza at Agatucci’s with my Grandfather who swore by their Tiger Sauce. I FB messaged the establishment asking if they would take a reservation. Within minutes Tony answered me and said they would have no problem accommodating us. When we arrived, we were greeted and shown to our table immediately. The service was excellent. The waitress had no problems quickly slinging the drinks and pizza we ordered. While the adults were enjoying the evening conversation our energetic teenage boys became unsettled and wanted to get up and move around. Knowing boys would be boys, Tony opened up the party room and let the boys have some space. Great Pizza. Great Hospitality. Agatucci’s 5 stars.

We ordered two large pizzas, and it was difficult getting them both on the table, but we managed, and boy were they good! I have enjoyed eating there in the past, but it had been several years. The pizza was as delicious as I remembered. The great crust, so crisp! The sauce and the cheese were both delicious, as were the toppings. The way they slice it makes it easy to eat. It is good with or without the Tiger sauce and Parmesan cheese, which are always available.

This is a local place. Gone here sense i was a kid. Food is good busy on the weekends but handle it very well. This i s a local flavor and is not like Chicago style pizza of any kind. If you have friends from Chicago either prepare them to have a different style pizza experience or recommend anything off the menu. All the food is very good. Locals sometimes forget they are more than just great pizza. If your local i encourage you to challenge yourself to order a menu item. You’ll remember its a full restaurant ran bt several generations of family. You’ll taste the love!

This is a Peoria staple for thin-crust pizza and famous for it’s tiger sauce — it’s a locally run business that I hope is here to stay. I’m not sure what everyone here is whining about — I’ve never had a bad meal here and no one I know has either. The inside is a bit dated and looks like it hasn’t been remodeled since the early 80s, but I think people like that about it. It looks the same as it did 20 years ago when I first went there as a child. The service is usually just ok, but I’ve never been there when it wasn’t absolutely packed with people. It’s family friendly — kids are given a little ball of pizza dough to play with while they wait. Don’t waste your time going here and ordering anything other than the pizza — I wouldn’t be surprised if anything besides the pizza was somewhat lackluster because this is a pizza place and that is what they do best. The thin crust is all I’ve ever had here, and the tiger sauce on the table is a must. This is not a five star restaurant — it’s a locally owned, old, hold in the wall pizza joint that does just that — serve pizza.

Parking can be a problem. Place is very dark and old. Service was great though and we enjoyed our pizza.

People that enjoy the food here have no discrimination at all. Somehow there are enough of them to have kept this crumhole in business for decades and make it ‘the place’ for pizza in Peoria. Well, go figure. Some people think Totino’s and tombstone is awesome too. Why stop there folks? cardboard tastes about the same, and is a lot cheaper too… Bad food, bad service, bad place.

My buddy an I stopped in here several years ago. It was great thin crust pizza. Just a cool pub atmosphere too… former Mayor Jim Maloof stopped by our table on his way out with his carry out, I said«great food» he says in a loud voice, «whatcha do Bring Your Own» and Jim the owner says, «get the heck outta here» to the mayor. One of the best thin crusts I’ve had.

Bought a frozen sausage pizza from a local Mariano’s grocery store. Looked OK at first. But, after getting into it, I found that it had NO Tomato Sauce on it at all. Not even a smear of red under the cheese. I called the restaurant to let them know and talked to a man there who said they had heard this comment before, but didn’t seem all that interested. I then called the manufacturer, with the same info and left a message. No one ever called back at all. I guess they don’t care! Be careful to save your grocery receipts for a possible refund if this happens to you. Or just buy a Home Run Inn pizza instead.

Best pizza place in town! This is always our first stop when we come to town, no matter what time it is and even if we aren’t hungry! Large thin crust pizzas, recommend getting two large pizzas for a family of 5. It always tastes good left over!

Being from Chicago, I could be considered somewhat of a «Pizza snob.» With that said, I was extremely disappointed with my experience at this restaurant. First, the spaghetti my wife and kids ordered was less than appealing. Second, the pitcher of Tea on the menu said one free refill, and I was billed for two @ $ 3.95 each. Third, the service was subpar at best. Lastly, the pizza was a little bit better than a frozen pizza from the supermarket, but five times the price. I will never be back to eat here again, and I hope this review helps somebody decide to dine somewhere else instead.

I had recently been recommended to try this place, so I thought I’d give it a shot and hands down some of the best pizza in the area! The pizza is thinner crust and has a great garlicky/Parmesan crust to top it all off! I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone looking for some great, homemade pizza!

This place was wonderful for fitting in a party of 18 and we did give them quite a bit of notice. We were visiting my sister in Peoria and this is her go to pizza place. From what I understand the place has been around for about a thousand years and has had some history to it to include one of the longest operating liquor licenses in the state. The restaurant has been added onto and added on to and the building is is old as the liquor license. we were sat on the side of the restaurant that is newer than the original building. I believe if somebody that had some authority as far is code enforcement would have stopped in that restaurant that night, they probably would have closed the place down. I don’t know much about the rules with fire exits and occupancy limits but it seemed like they were against Gillian people crammed in that place and one very small exit for that room and said something that happened there would have been a lot of trouble getting everyone out of there in a safe and orderly manner. But my gripes about the building aside, let’s talk about the pizza. the pizza was great but a little pricey for my opinion. We had a pepperoni sausage onion and they cut it not in the traditional pizza way you would cut it ie triangles but they cut it in these little rectangular strips. It actually makes sharing the pizza that much more easier and for some reason it tasted better. My wife and sister got some sort of bacon Hawaiian pineapple thing that they inhaled and the kids had a straight up pepperoni pizza they also inhaled it. I did get a salad before hand and that’s kind of where things came off the rails. The salad isn’t technically a salad it’s a bowl of iceberg lettuce and dressing. No tomatoes no croutons no cucumbers no vegetables no carrots nothing. Iceberg lettuce, dressing. It was fresh iceberg lettuce but it’s not technically a salad if it’s just lettuce. My only other complaint is parking. The parking lot is way under sized for the size of the building and they had painted the parking spaces to represent that. Meaning the parking spaces are way too narrow for a large SUV. And you’ll have to park on the street if all the parking spots in the private lot are taken. Otherwise great pizza server was super nice and we got pitchers of peroni beer on those plastic Cambro pitchers. Love that! If you are ever in Peoria, I suggest stopping in and giving it a try. But be prepared for a wait, tight tables and parking.

I had my first pizza from there today! the food is great! pizza better than Avanti’s or Monical’s! fried ravioli and sauce was awesome! now the service was ok I guess. the employees were friendly but the person that looked like the manager was drinking at the bar, along with 2 other employees that were drunk. plus the 2 bartenders were eating at the bar. and that is the reason for the low score. the food scored a 5 star in my opinion. I was given my food and told to have a nice evening. I had not paid for it yet. I told them that it was not paid for and they looked shocked. I would go for the food. carry out only.

I have been coming here since I can remember and it has been the same every single time. It was awesome that my daughter got to play w the pizza dough just like I did as a kid. The tiger sauce is amazing and seeing Tony great me with a smile ia always welcome. Coming from Chicago I am a pizza snob… but this place holds its own against the best. Grab some frozen if you can… but nothing beats the glow of the motorized Hamm’s sign over the bar. Get in here!

The pizza was OK. Nothing I would go back for though. It was rather odd when the server stressed that there are no free refills on fountain pop, and wanted to know if I would rather have a pitcher. Seriously? The cheapest commodity item in the entire restaurant, and all you get is a small, water-sized glass? To top that off, we had to wait a very long time for our pizza to come out so I just resorted to crunching the ice in the bottom of my glass. I can honestly say that overall, it was not horrible, but we’re never going back. There are much better values out there.

With the amount of people pouring in when it opened we thought we had found a gem. We figured the food was going to be amazing. The 2 Italians I was with refused to finish their meals. HS cafeteria spaghetti-os would have had more flavor. Waste of money. Guess its the pizza that brings them in. Nice staff though…

My family has been coming here since I was a little kid. They would give us dough to play with when we were younger. I believe they still do this for the younger crowd when they come in. Their pizza is excellent and their chicken dinners are amazing! They just recently started taking credit cards which is a huge plus. They do not provide free drink refills, however they let you know this when you order and they do have pitchers available that are very reasonably priced. I would definitely recommend this place!

I love this place! My family has been coming to Aggis literally since before I was born. In fact, my grandparent’s layed out their budget once they were married on one of their old paper menus, it still hangs in my Dad’s garage. I have been coming to Aggis since I can remember and they specialize in my FAVORITE pizza: Ultra thin crust! Now it may not fill you up, so you just eat more! Jerry is awesome and always remembers us when we come inside, Tiger sauce is the perfect topping for pizza and their House salads are amazing! They give the kids pizza dough to play with and their staff is always friendly. Everytime I drive up(7 hours, from KC) we stop here and always will. Aggis for life!
