Burger was ok. Kids didn’t like their meals. Half of the games for the kids didn’t work. Waitress was really nice, but she was covering to much and we had to wait for water refills and our check. Top it off their air conditioner was either out or couldn’t keep up, which made for a miserable trip. Probably won’t go back.

This is the newer Burger Barge in Peoria area. After going to old one thought this one would be a newer nicer update. Kids play area is nice for smaller children service was kinda slow and restaurant was almost empty, food was average. Table and menu were all sticky. It’s just a newer version of the old location. Not a terrible experience but nicer restaurants in the east Peoria for the price point.

The service was absolutely horrible, the fries were cold and soggy, and the fries were stale. I figured my burger would be good because that’s what they are known for. It was cold and the toppings were not cooked. I can’t believe a place I have loved down by the river has gone to such crap. They need to get some good cooks.

We freaking love both Burger Barges. Ok, the exterior and interior are hokey and dirty. It’s true. It’s the ugliest places you can eat. You have to look past that :) The burgers are top of the line. If you want a truly good burger, outside of Chicago, just come on over. Plus, the bar food style sides are fantastically deep fried and yummy. Yum, deep fried jalapenos!

The Peoria area does not have many restaurants that have a gimmick(for the lack of a better term). The place is designed like a pirate had a bad acid trip. I enjoy the food they offer though. They have an interesting take on the burger and fries staple. One of my personal favorites is the Anchor. This is the Burger Barge’s take on the horseshoe sandwich. The Anchor is burger, fries covered in bacon, mozzarella cheese, cheese sauce, mushrooms, onions, and their dock sauce served on Texas Toast. They offer a breakfast variant that I have yet to try but look forward too. I prefer the Meadows location because the seating is much better. The Main St. location always felt very cramped. While I have no complaints about the food, the service leaves a lot to be desired. The wait staff have never been rude but they are not very attentive. A majority of my visits have been when the place is not busy. They just seem to be more concerned with chatting with coworkers. Not factored into my rating but worth nothing is they have the classic Captain American and the Avengers arcade game.

Came in today hoping to get some food. The place is clean, but the service is terrible. I cannot comment on the food because staff was more interested in horsing around with the Sunday bloody mary crowd to do much of anything else. Myplan was simple, exchange US currency for grilled beef and toppings on a bun. The process is simple… customer sits down, an order gets taken, food is eaten, money changes hands. Unfortunately, these rules don’t apply here. I sat down at a nearly empty bar at lunch time. Staff ignored me. Perused draft beer taps to decide on my beverage and made choice, staff continued to ignore me. Perused menu and made my choice, still ignored. Watched as several regulars were served another round of bloody marys as I went hungry and thirsty. Once bloody mary duty was completed, staff vanished. Since staff seemed uninterested in food service I left.

Service was below average. Waitress didn’t know what beer was on tap. Food was good. Good prices. Sticky tables. Beer was cold.

Burgers are still good, but was so disappointed to find they quit serving fried pickles. This was my FAVORITE thing on their menu. Good news, I don’t have to worry about making a stop here every time I’m in town. #bringbackthepickles

So I went back a second time. This time it was during a busier day. So they opened up the back section. I previously said there was not my much room to eat. I was totally wrong. I didn’t know this back section existed. Has even more room, an outdoor seating areas, and a bar. I like this place even more now that I know there is enough space for large groups. Great job on the second location Burger Barge. I will be back

We were excited to try the Burger Barge 2 for the first time. Well I would say huge disappointment. The service is the worst I have ever had. It took at least 10 minutes to get drinks and another 15 to even place an order. Our waitress was no where to be found most of the time. We had to ask the host for most things. I had to get up and get my own to-go boxes that I just happened to find on the wait station! When the waitress finally showed back up and asked if I needed a box the answer was clearly NO! Got a $ 58 bill for 2 adult burgers and 2 kids burgers and fries. Outrageous! Waitress is lucky she got a $ 2 tip!

I love the burgers, only problem is too many to choose from. My favorite is the philly swiss burger.

My boyfriend and I decided to try out the new burger barge location. Fell extremely short of our expectations. We both ordered sandwiches(I ordered their grilled cheese and he got a philly cheese steak sandwich). It took ANHOUR for us to get our two sandwiches! His had to be sent back because it was cold. Then they microwaved it and gave it back after another 10 min. Oh, then they still charged us full price despite the terrible service.
