Like so many basement trained«computer experts,» this guy excels at arrogance, rudeness and disrespect. Clearly a legend in his own mind, the proprietor feels justified in mocking his clients for bringing him devices that don’t appeal to his exalted skill set. Not only did he disrespect me and read me the riot act for bringing in a computer peripheral rather than a computer itself, but he refused to refer me on to someone who might consider the job themselves. Despite questioning for help, for a referral, he continued only to smirk in his derisive, nerd like fashion at me for obviously being so stupid as to bring him a device that was not within his narrow field of specialization. «Look at this! Does this have a motherboard? Does this have a motherboard? No it does not have a motherboard, so that is not something I work on!!» Well excuuuuuuuuuuse me for bringing in a computer device that does not have a «motherboard.» He brags that he has been providing professional IT and repair services since 1990 in this area and has over 20,000 «pleased» clients. I doubt very much that is the case. He was so superior, arrogant, abrasive, disrespectful and thoroughly without any kind of professionalism or manners that I doubt there are 20,000 Arizonans in the entire state who would put up with his abusive attitude and arrogant demeanor. Clearly being so enormously impressed with himself for having such incredible skills at computer services, like any mid grade American 10-year-old, his first professional action will be to judge you for the quality of the work that you bring to him. Also, since he is of such an exalted status in his chosen work be prepared to bow before him and beg for his amazing skills and amazing feats of electronic brilliance. The proprietor is the obvious source of every IT joke from the last 20 years and embodies every single negative popular characterization of «computer guys.» Save yourself a beating; don’t ever do business with this firm. Do what I did. Get on the Internet, search for the top 10 computer repair firms in the Northwest Valley and choose any one of them. The first three I talked to were very solicitous and polite; the one I went to not only treated me with respect but dealt with my problem rapidly, easily and cheaply. And they actually had manners.
