The lunch buffet offers several choices of pizza, a salad bar, and dessert pizzas. The pizza isn’t anything special, the salad bar contains the minimum items needed and still be considered a salad bar, and the dessert pizzas are what I expected. Pros: –There was never a time when the buffet was not being supplied with fresh items. –The booths are not uncomfortable. –Televisions are located in the booths for those that like that sort of thing. –The restaurant appeared to be clean. Cons: –The buffet pizza, while edible, is average to below average. –The buffet area is poorly located. Most times there is just enough room for one person to serve themselves. The aisle separating the salad bar and pizza buffet cannot be more than three to four feet wide. There isn’t any good place to wait ones turn due to lack of space. To make matters worse, the cash register is closely located so diners have to navigate both those at the buffet as well as those waiting to have their orders taken. –The man who operated the cash register during my visit had a bad attitude. While I can overlook crowds of people and mediocre food, I cannot support a business where people are rude. I have no idea if this man was the owner, manager, or whatever. Witnessing an owner/employee being rude to customers and other employees will stop me from spending my money at a place every single time.

We were at Monkey Joes and paid $ 15 for a peperoni pizza. When we got the pizza it was half cheese half peperoni. They asked if we would still eat it. NO, given the fact we paid 15 bucks and waited 20 min. So they ordered another one. 20 more minutes later we realized we should have stuck with the half and half and saved our additional 20 minute wait for a fresh pizza. The pizza had a total count of 10 peperonis on it!!! That is one pep per slice and 2 slices with half a pep. LOL! Lame! It was basically a cheese pizza. Its just frustrating when you pay and wait and then give them the opportunity to fix the problem and they do it again. I dont think I will order from there again.

The week of 12/28/2015, Peoria and most of Illinois were hit by a huge ice storm. I’d had no power for 3 days and couldn’t cook anything, so we went to Firehouse Pizza. I wanted a soda but the house was freezing and I wasn’t in the mood for cold drinks, so I asked the server if I could have a hot Pepsi. That sounds dirty but it isn’t. It’s just a Pepsi that’s served hot instead of cold. Like hot chocolate, only it’s a Pepsi. The server agreed to this admittedly unusual request, and even asked if I wanted it microwaved or put in the oven for a bit. This just made my day after three days with no heat and no power. Oh yeah. The pizza was good too. Firehouse is a little pricey but it’s worth it for a treat once in a while.

Probably the worst pizza I’ve had in years, absolutely blah and bland the vegetables on the pizza had no flavor. Owner was rather rude and the employee looked like he was on a prisoner release program

Two stars for the food ONLY. Recently ate here. The owner seemed very rude the way he talked to the young(highschool age) girl behind the counter. One word ASS! Not sure if the waiter, a guy in his mid to late 20’s was a relative but was kind of a jerk as well. With all of the pizza choices in Peoria we surely will NEVER patronize firehouse again. Trying Knuckle’s up the road next week! P. S. Don’t be a jerk to your employees. It doesn’t pay:/

The best pizza in the entire world. It is almost worth visiting Peoria just to eat at Firehouse. Don’t miss the incredible lunch buffet. Very sweet sauce and crust, so if you like your pizza sweet this is the place.

How far you have fallen Firehouse! You have gone from my favorite Sunday pizza to your menu going in the garbage with most of the food I ordered yesterday. Garlic pizza was so dry and over cooked that it was nearly impossible to bite through the tough crust. No discernible garlic taste at all, I even peeled off the cheese and toppings and couldn’t smell anything but dough. Absolutely the worst and driest pizza I have ever tasted. Wings were also tough and chewy with the meat really hard to get off the bones, 5 out of 12 into the trash along with 50% of the pizza. My side of peppadews was paid for but forgotten to be put in the box so I guess I donated another dollar to this disaster of an order. Seriously, I wish I would’ve gotten a $ 5 Hot N Ready instead of this waste of $ 30. Won’t waste another dollar here.

Firehouse is still my favorite restaurant in Peoria for thin crust pizza! I’m always torn between the delicious garlic sauce and their specialty tasty sweet marinara sauce, so usually we get half and half :-) the dessert pizza is also delicious! Highly recommended for a casual night out!

Once I ate at Firehouse and it was delicious. But then, another time, I tried calling them for a carry out order from their expansive and delicious sounding menu. However, I called 5 times between 7:30 pm and 8:00 and NOONEANSWEREDTHEPHONE. COMEON, GUYS. I want to eat your food!

Let me start by saying I like Firehouse Pizza in Morton, IL. When we were looking for some pizza on a Sunday afternoon in Peoria, I was confident that firehouse pizza would deliver the same taste and service that I’m accustomed to in Morton Illinois. I was a little disappointed. We ordered a large appetizer and received a small. The marinara sauce accompanying the appetizer was cold and we had to send it back. My wife’s pasta entrée she specified without meat and they made it with meat. They told her it would take 15 or 20 more minutes to re-make it so we just said forget it.

The pizza was good but the sauce was a little on the sweet-side. Wings were very good. Our waitress was very courteous and checked on us frequently. Prices are just a tad bit too much for what you get, considering this is a very casual family dining place, but overall not too bad. We keep coming back, so we obviously don’t think the prices are too outlandish.

Walked into the place and there was no one greeting and we went up to the desk and eventually someone behind the counter asked what we needed. She said they were taking a waiting list but no one could seem to find the list. She asked us, the customer if we had like for any open tables. She then went on to say keep looking and when one opens up you can take it. We then got a table and had«the new girl.» She didn’t know the menu and had to ask us out order about 3 times. As I saw her write our correct order(pizza, salad and breadsticks). We waited for awhile with nothing. Finally our pizza came. We had to ask about the salad and she said she forgot. Then we asked about the breadsticks and she blamed the computer system for being down. Throughout the visit she kept talking about something being wrong the the computer system. We noticed others around us getting their food in a timely fashion.

In a sea of chains I suppose this is a pretty solid option for pizza, but it certainly has its pros and cons. Here are what I thought some of the pros were: –Large menu with lots of options. –Decent pizza with a thin crunchy crust. –Crispy onion rings, plump chicken wings and awesome french fries. –Reasonable service for our fairly large party. –Private room for our group. –Awesome pizza wall clock in our private room. –Sweet firefighter décor. And the cons: –Back hallway, restrooms, and private room stunk like dirty mop water. –While the wings themselves were good, they were way over-sauced. –Service was a little spotty, but the waitress appeared to be busy with the main area as well. –A few items we ordered were forgotten. –The pizza was cut in small squares and not traditional slices. While it’s not the best pizza I’ve ever had, I’d probably visit again if I was in Peoria and in the mood for pizza.

Good lunch pizza buffet if you arrive early enough. Somewhat expensive compared to simply ordering a large single topping pizza.

I’d like to edit my previous review after dining there a few more times since then. The pizza seems really bland now. Not sure what has happened. Plus… that gross smell in the Northpoint location has never gone away. It’s unappetizing. I am in no hurry to return.

Firehouse is far and away my favorite pizza place in Peoria. The thin crust pizza is glorious. Their sweet sauce is incredibly addictive and they put a very generous amount of cheese on their pizza. Great atmosphere(love the booths with individual TVs) and the service has always been fast and friendly. Can’t recommend this place enough.

Firehouse really does has wonderful pizza, even if it is a little pricey. However, the buffett seems to be a good deal, if you have a larger appetite. It includes all-you-can-eat salad, pizza, drink and tax for $ 8. We, however, ordered the«FireHouse Delight,» and it was delicious! They have a sweeter sauce(think Papa John’s), and are very generous with toppings. There atmosphere is casual and very family friendly. Most booths have a small television in them with access to an assortment of cable channels. For those of you who would rather talk to your eating buddy, rather than simply watch tv, there is also seating with no television. I saw that a few children received fire man hats, and they really seemed to love that. Overall a really nice place! The only thing«negative» I can really say is that our waitress mixed up our order and accidentally gave us an extra-large pizza instead of a large pizza. Rather than charge us for a large pizza(it was her error after all), she charged us for the x-large.

Probably the best pizza in Peoria! The thin crust is one of the best Ive ever had, VERY crunchy… the toppings go all the way to the end! I have had their NY hand tossed crust and it was ok but I do prefer the thin crust. The sauce is sweet, which you dont normally find. FASTDELIVERY… always a plus!

M. and I love thin crust pizza, so this place fit our tastes. We had the Supreme pizza, which was pretty good. My favorite thing was the cheesy garlic bread. I could eat those every day!
