The food is always amazing here. But our server, Martha, is what made the trip worth it. She did an amazing job, was very funny and talkative with us and made our day. We left wanting to come back to see her again. :) Always good to eat somewhere with a great server.

I love going to flat top grill when I’m in Peoria. You can make different food combinations witch if you are new to flat top grill might not come out to your liking but that’s the best part of you don’t like it you just go back and try again and also it a great place for anyone who like to say healthy.

Love Flat Top Grill! Great tasting, and with fresh veggies it’s definitely healthier than most restaurant food. Restaurant is always very clean & service is good. I love that they offer a children’s menu for the kids who may not like stir fry. I just wish it was a little less expensive, all 5 of us love it there and would definitely eat there more often if it was. I’ve even looked for coupons with no luck… If my memory is correct, they used to offer unlimited bowls for $ 1 extra, but sadly don’t anymore. Side note: I see a lot of people complaining about the fact that they get the meat for you now instead of us getting it ourselves. I just want to say… Give them a break– meat is expensive, and they still give you plenty. Keep up the great work, Flat Top!

Went there on 1−18−16 it was very good the only thing they had changed was they got the meat for us. I can understand that with the cost of meat. The only thing I would recommend is putting the crunchy noodles where you could put them on top after food was cooked. Used my Birthday email for Bogo, so thanks for that, we will be back.

I enjoy flat top and find myself there every few months. There are a number of options for meats and you can even choose shrimp or vegetarian options. The bread is the best and I highly recommend getting it. The only downside is that I wish there were more options to add and in the cooler months whenever the door is opened, you get blasted with the outside chill. This was impossible to ignore for my December trip where I had to keep my giant winter puffy coat on throughout my meal.

I went here with my mother in law and 2 sons a few weeks ago. I went to the one in oak Park il several times, which is 100 times better, anyways, my mother in law has never been so I suggested we stop on for lunch. So, after we are seated and such, the waitress never asked if we have been before, or explained how it works. If it’s your first time, you would think they would explain the concept. Nope. So I explained it myself. That was strike 1. So after we get our bowls, we head to the buffet area to pile up our bowls. Omg. Gross I should of taken a picture. It was a mess. I should of left right there. Sauces were spilled everywhere, veggies a mess, out of quinoa so I had to wait about 10 min to add some to my bowl. Strike 2. So then we go sit back down. We wait for our food to arrives. When it does, there is a black thick HAIR in her bowl. Sitting on top. Yep. Strike 3. Will never go back. Ever! So dirty, NOTGING like oak Park location.

I LOVE this place. I’ve only been there once but it was incredible. Portions are huge and if you want amazing stir fry this is the place to go for sure. Our waiter was really cool too and suggested lots of stuff for us to try. Get the bread when you’re there– it’s a favorite! I will go be going back as much as possible.

I have loved coming here for years and years. The portions have gotten smaller and they are managing the meat portions for us instead of letting us pick. With that said I still love it.

The premise of this place is ridiculous. Since you can’t get your own proteins anymore and there’s no more unlimited bowls then what’s the point? I’d rather go to a regular restaurant then… some six sigma cost reduction black belt probably came up with the new ways of doing things. The waiter even said it makes his job harder. Will not go here again. Did I mention the seating is annoying and uncomfortable?

It has been a while since I was here. And I’m disappointed… you no longer get to select what you want in meat choice. I will have to think really hard before coming here again.

First, let me say that I am not the same Jake W that commented in January… but ironically I feel about the same way as he did(well…except our server was a guy). This place was always on the pricy side, and was annoyingly slow, which seemed to be a tactic to limit your returns. We still enjoyed coming here once in awhile as it is the only mongolian grill type of place around. Unfortunately, it has really gone to hell in a hand-basket. Their new setup, where you have to tell the waiter what meat you want so he can go print out a ticket and bring it back to you to stick on your label– good lord!!! This is so inefficient, ripe for screw-ups, and takes even longer than before. Not only that, but you don’t get to mix the meats the way you want, and then they put the sauces in these stupid great big karafe things so you can struggle to get what you want… and can get sauce all over your arm and hand in the process too — fun! My entire family was irritated at this place and we agreed this was the last for us.

Completely empty on a Friday night? Every place near here is packed. Why? THEYNOLONGERLETYOUPICKOUTYOURMEATANDTHEYDON’T OFFERMUSHUANYMORE. Smaller bowls too! This tells me they are on the verge of going out of business. Service down, quality down, and prices up. No longer worth going too anymore… Hopefully when it closes they put in a Cheese Cake

It was my first time here and my friends and I walked in at 8:30. The place closes at 9. The host walked up and said in the rudest way possible«we close at 9, is everyone aware of that?» We said«oh, well it’s 8:30» All she said back was«well, we close at 9… but I can seat you» We left and will probably never go back.

I love this place but it has really gone downhill. They changed the whole process and now you have to order your meat at the table, and they have giant bottles you pour for your sauce, instead of ladles. So I of course ended up with way too much sauce. The other thin that annoyed me with my last visit is that the mushus are gone. Instead I tried the«mighty burrito» which proceeded to fall apart on me. My birthday is in October, and if they haven’t closed, I’ll try them again when I get my birthday offer. I hope they fix their«new errors» and get back on the right path. They won’t survive otherwise.

My Husband and I are Paleo now and this is the ONE place we can count on for date night. They cook our food away from everyone else’s and have no problem with our crazy diet restrictions(at least they don’t seem to, lol). The service is friendly, prices are reasonable and the selection is not bad.

Im not a huge fan of Flat Top, but I go when my wife asks. The food seems to be of good quality, although the selection table is sometimes messy which gives the impression of cross contamination. None the less I have never had a bad experience at Flat Top, and always walk away satisfied, having made my own healthy choices. During this visit I asked for soda water, which is simply the carbonated water from the soda fountains. I noticed on my check they charged $ 2.49…for carbonated fountain water. It wasn’t worth complaining about, but that is just bad customer service, in my opinion. Update: A representative from Flat Top contacted me via Unilocal to apologize for the short comings. I appreciated the sincere and reasonable response, so I upgraded by one star. Thanks Flat Top!
